I had such a nice time at Sha Money XL’s recent One Stop Shop Producers conference in Phoenix a few weeks ago. I did an internet media panel with old pals Shaheem Reid (MTV) and Chuck Creekmur (Allhiphop), and new pals Andreas Hale (BET), Broadway (Thisis50), and Sharath Cherian (HiphopDX). And I also got a chance to see folks like Shake (2DopeBoyz), Corentin (Thisis50), Angela Yee, Paul Cantor, Just Blaze, Play-N-Skillz (very nice guys) and more….

But one of the relevations I twittered about during a producer panels was that Grammy-winning production-siblings Play-N-Skillz have still not gotten paid for their work on Weezy’s Carter 3 album (“Got Money” featuring T-Pain).

Play-n-Skillz went on Dallas’ K104 and talked with DJ Bay Bay about the pay dispute….

“The music now just dont like to pay nobody….I dont think Wayne has [eaten] either. I dont think nobody on that project has…prior to us saying something about it, there was another sample issue, there was another producer who jumped up…

I’m sure Wayne and them got their money up front, but I ain’t got mine…its close to 4 mill records, man, its one of the biggest selling albums in a long time. I just wanna get a little bit.”

(thanks to GTorres and Play for the audio)
