the homie Karen Civil talks to new artist Pill, who made waves recently with this “Trap Goin’ Ham” video below (which reminded me of the cinema-hood-verite of Juvenile’s classic introduction “Ha” directed by Marc Klasfield, who was one of my favorites)

Where do I begin…
Are videos like that a celebration of low achievement and criminal activity, or instead, do they represent cries for help?
In the interview, Pill doesn’t seem remorseful about his upbringing; however, the images presented in that video are so graphic and disturbing that one has to wonder if the environment as it is depicted can continue in perpetuity.
It’s super sad, either way you look at it.
