Photos: Chris Brown reports for community service

Chris Brown reported for trash pick-up detail this morning in Virginia. When he spoke to CNN’s Larry King, he said that he was happy to do whatever punishment labor he was given but thought that he could do more by talking to young people the way that T.I. did as part of his parole. I’ve been thinking about, and while of course there’s the satisfaction of, “oh, now look at you, picking up trash, that serves you right.” Along with the simple fact that community service is a great way for punishment to translate into free labor for cityworks.
But, what if Chris Brown was also required to go through his domestic abuse counseling process in a public way….wouldn’t that be a powerful “teaching moment” too?
Just a thought.

I think he should be doing both. I agree.

Listen info I hear ya! But this would be a terrible idea because if hes 100% honest about he feelings during the incident (which he probably wouldn’t be) but if he was, it would only create more rationalization for his actions giving more fuel to conflicted dudes…
Instead of the realization that no matter what times a billion its always wrong to hit a girl and if she wants to be hit (which some do) you should run away from her or call the cops..
If I was Chris, good ole rere would nevr hear from me again.. thats just what it is.. Chris has my blessing to go date Taylor Swift or Hanna Montana… He has a pass to date any non crazy ethnic chick for the rest of his life.. I’m good on the crazy love Whitney was talking about, give me the sane love..

Then that means everybody should. Y single him out to have to go through his counseling in a public way. Then everybody before him and after him should to celebrity or not. He’s doing something good now and niggas always want more, let the 20 year old kid who makes mistakes learn. He’s not a 40 year old man who beats on his wife.

nahhh, its too easy and less gratifying for white people..they need to see him do the hard work and feel the humiliation..
he will be alright..a few laughs here and there but it will be all good..he will get over it and come back better!!
just wondering, where is the trash in all that grass??? is there even a point picking trash in there???

Yeah not feeling this at all but if he champion it strong and comeback better and create his own rebuild the hood foundation or something and do this once a year publicly no matter what and have a group do it year round in the hood he makes them look like jackasses… because at the end of the day this is all about humiliation.. Brittany gets community service and she has to go talk to a bunch of teen groups…
I was once in court for some shit and saw some little whice girl say she had some disease I never even heard of and couldn’t get dirty or she would die produced a doctors note and walked out laughing because they sent her to a drug rehab center!! Its a mess!

You’re an idiot. Chris Brown beat the hell out of a woman and you think him being punished by hard labor (INSTEAD OF JAIL TIME) has more to do with white people than the actual crime? Give me a break. Send his ass to jail and let him speak out against domestic violence on his own time.

Trash pickup is cool, but I think he should receive counseling (hopefully that was made mandatory). Anyway its all gravy. Hope he stays on the straight and narrow.

…..yeah they’re going to get an many photo ops out of this as possible.
But, I agree that having him work out his domestic issues in a public way would be a greater learning opportunity then just pure humiliation.

I see Chris Brown started a new website. Haven’t looked for it because I’m really not interested in him until he finishes his counseling and community service.
However, I did have the same thought about his counseling being a teachable moment.
Hopefully he’ll blog the details.

Info you should sell that idea to Chris Brown of doing the reality show. No one believed any of his apologies and I missed him on Larry King but the only thing I heard about it was he looked ridiclous with his bow tie. If he really wants to save his career he need a TV to show him “becoming a better man”

uhm so he’s gonna be doing this and we all going to get a daily check up on what he is doing. jesus. i would have liked the judge to let cb do it like the michael vick route and do the whole talking to people in similar situtions…but it’s either that or this. it doesn’t really make a difference because he’s going to get his chance to all that either way if his people are smart and are really locked in to pr.
aside from that, uhm info can you not participate in the upcoming hoopla that is going to be chris brown’s punishment(s). i think the dude needs to be left alone.

Nah cause by law that’s required to be private, and by him doing it public it would only be embarrassing. It would only help for the media and bloggers to contiue to talk more shit about him.

Look at urselves before u judge hes a hunnie with the way hes goin on about this, bein a good person ever since that day. He loves his girl Ri and if she wants to look past this then she shall and if not baby boy has to deal with it, losing her is his punishment and hes dealin with it. I was somewhat shocked when he said on Larry King that he’d rather talk to the youth because he can better help them not to make the same mistakes he did. When TI got in trouble he was forthright about his past and ALL the mistakes he had made. That’s why we bought into his REDEMPTION show. If the interview with Larry King was any glimpse into how the talks would be, then the kids would get nothing but “it’s personal” and “I don’t recall”. I’m not judging his mother, but even she couldn’t own that fact that in hindsight CB might have seen too much domestic troubles. His lawyer painted the best image of him. Also, he would not even come close to considering or discussing the emotions he must have felt prior to whopping Rihanna’s behind. Without all of that being addressed, there is no need for him to talk to kids. If that’s the case, every kid who’s never been a problem and has no anger issues is a threat to their future girlfriends. This is not me hating on the young man, I’m just saying if you can’t take an honest yet public glimpse into the mirror (even without revealing intimate details of your partner, i mean just look into your own soul), how can you help someone else? i’m also not saying that this is what we the public deserve the right to know, but if you want to speak publicly, then it should be a requirement.

domestic counseling in public? to quote the great dr huxtable,.. “theo.. thats the DUMBEST thing i ever heard in my LIFE!! no wonder youre getting D’s!”
the purpose of counseling is to make you better.. not to punish you, or to make a spectacle of you, or to help other people. its personal. making it a public spectacle would only be counter productive to his treatment..
i understand ur a woman, and ur in the media, so u probably want him humiliated to the ultimate degree for multiple reasons.. but let it go.. he kicked her ass.. it happened. the judge banged the gavel. its over. move on.

I think that it would be a good idea for chris brown to go around to teach teens / kids that people make mistakes & that it isn’t good to hit a girl.woman.bhut I don’t think people should go nuts on it he mad a mistake & so does everyone else.the celebraties ghet it worse becuase there supposed to be rolemodels.& everyone has to remember that everyone deseves 2 chnaces & that it happends everyday.

ppl move the hell on already. he did the crime and now he’s payin for it. I swear some folks woulda just been happier if dude got the death penalty.
at the end of the day no one knows what went down to lead upto that fight in the car that night. NO he had NO right to go ape shit on her but IF the fight at all started with her hittin him, then he has every right to hit back. Its like what they taught us all in kindergarten, “KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELVES”. and that applies to both MEN AND WOMEN.
Domestic violence is wrong on all fronts. Period.

i think he shouldve press’d charges on her ass too, cuz i think she jumped on him 1st..she looks pretty and crazy at the same time for real…so this is what he gets…naw if that was me in the hood i wouldve had jail time no matter what then came home on probation so he got it lite

American Idols Live Tickets Virginia Beach Amphitheatre…
Some entertainment came from the crowd too. We had a drunken girl dance most of the show on one of the top rows on the opposite side of the arena, she looked like she was having a blast. Then we had the 50 year old dude drooling over a couple of women …
