Kodak Black and T.I. have been going back and forth over social media. Their issues stems from Black’s disrespectful comments about model/actress Lauren London after the death of her boyfriend Nipsey Hussle. After firing shots back and forth on Instagram over the past week, T.I. previewed a snippet of a track with some lyrics directed towards Kodak.

The Florida rapper decides to step up to the mic, releasing the song “Expeditiously.” On the record, Kodak takes aim at T.I. and his wife Tiny, later hopping on Instagram Live where he continues the bad blood by taking verbal shots at Tip’s kids. Hear the diss track below.

ScHoolboy Q took to his social media platforms on Monday (Apr. 15) to announce his new album, CrasH Talk. The TDE MC’s fifth studio album and first since 2016’s Blank Face LP arrives next week on April 26. The L.A. lyricist has released the singles “Numb Numb Juice” and the Travis Scott-featured “CHopstix” to this point. Watch the announcement in a trailer below, which also previews an untitled new song expected to appear on the project.

Tyga appeared during weekend one of Coachella 2019, joining YG on stage to perform on Sunday night (Apr. 14). A day after taking to the stage in the desert, T-Raww returns with a new single called “Goddamn.” Sticking with the formula of his recent string of hits, the Last King enlists go-to producer D.A. Doman on the new club record.

Days after speaking at the funeral for his late friend Nipsey Hussle, YG took the stage at Coachella 2019 on Sunday night (Apr. 14). Taking to the Sahara Tent on Day 3, the Compton rapper performed with a heavy heart, dedicating the set to his frequent collaborator. Tributes to Nipsey Hussle were played throughout YG’s 54-minute set, including the opening and a moment of silence. Along with running through a ever growing catalogue of hits, YG announced his new album is set to drop on May and debuted a new track called “Stop Snitching.”

The on-stage party and celebration which YG renamed Boachella, also came with some surprises. Tyga was the first guest of the night, appearing for “Bit**es Ain’t Sh*t” and his own smash-hit “Taste.” For the finale, YG closed out a rocking show with his DJ Mustard-produced banger “Big Bank,” with Mustard, 2 Chainz and Big Sean all hopping on stage to deliver their verses. YG made his Coachella debut, performing at the iconic music festival on Sunday night (Apr. 14). The electric set was nearly one-hour long, dedicated to the rapper’s late west coast friend and collaborator, Nipsey Hussle. During his show at the Sahara Tent, YG announced his upcoming new album will drop on May 3. Originally, the untitled project was set to drop on April 12th but was put on hold due to the death of Nipsey Hussle. After revealing the date, YG debuted a new record entitled “Stop Snitching.” The moment was entertaining to viewers as an image of Tekashi 69 was flashed as the song played, referring to the rapper’s demise and recent legal issues.

Iconic New York City music venue Webster Hall closed in 2017 for renovations. The Manhattan concert and event space is re-opening with a bang later this month, as JAY-Z announces his ‘B-Sides 2’ concert. The show will take place on Friday, April 22, where the artist/mogul performs underground, deep cuts from his extensive discography. The first ‘B-Sides’ show took place in May 2015 at Terminal 5 in NYC, where the Roc Nation MC was joined by guests Jay Electronica, Jeezy and State Property.

Khalid lands his first-ever No. 1 album. The El Paso singer’s Free Spirit, takes the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. Khalid’s sophomore album moved 202,000 equivalent album units opening week according to Nielsen Music (85,000 in traditional album sales), becoming the fourth-largest week of 2019 for an album. Only Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next (360,000), Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (313,000) and Backstreet Boys’ DNA (234,000) had bigger weeks this year.

The Grammy-nominated star is set to embark on his 32-date “Free Spirit” North American tour this summer, running from Jun. 20 – Aug. 17. See the dates here.

Smoke DZA has always shown his passion for the WWE in some form or fashion, and with WrestleMania 35 this past weekend, DZA decided to celebrate with a new EP titled Ringside 7. The project includes 4 tracks, all entirely produced by frequent collaborator 183rd. Ringside 7 is DZA’s third effort this year already, following Prime Location Vol. 1 in February and Two Pounds alongside Pounds last month.
