OutKast celebrated their 20-year-anniversary, reuniting on stage for the first-time in over 10 years at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival on Friday night. Closing out Day 1 in Indio, California, Big Boi and André 3000 delivered a 90-minute set, taking music lovers down memory lane with classics from their legendary career as a group.

Continue after the jump…..

Wearing overalls and a Mexico cap, André 3000 got the crowd going with Big Boi as they opened with “B.O.B.” They ran through rap classics “ATLiens,” “Rosa Parks,” and “Aquemini” before going into solo sets.

For Big Boi’s solo set, he touched on popular songs from recent years including “Shutterbug,” and “Kryptonite.” Janelle Monáe joined him on stage for “Tightrope,” while Sleepy Brown added his soulful voice on “SpottieOttieDopaliscious.” André 3000’s solo set served as another first, performing songs off 2004’s The Love Below like “Vibrate” and “Prototype.”

As rumored leading up to Coachella, Dungeon Family’s own Future got the energy up performing “Same Damn Time” and the “Ain’t No Way Around It” remix with Big Boi. With his Honest album arriving on April 22, Future debuted “Benz Friendz (Whatchutola)” featuring André 3000 off the project (1:07:00 mark).

Due to the fact their show started late, OutKast closed out with sound problems and a rushed medley of “So Fresh, So Clean,” “I Like the Way You Move,” and “Hey Yea.” For the final song “The Whole World,” OutKast’s mics were cut off, as special guest Killer Mike came on stage to greet the fans.

The duo returns to Coachella 2014 next Friday, for the second weekend as they’ll be performing at over 40 festivals this summer.
