Look I feel that people have waayyyy to many opinions on this matter. I will say that what happen was wrong but unless you were in the car you really don’t know what happen. I really can’t stand when people give their 2 cents on relationships when theirs is clearly in shambles or should I say on the back burner. Bottom line the more coverage this store gets the worse it becomes. I read on one site that Chris tried to kick her out the car while it was moving. I mean come on people. oh and to all those people that says she’s stupid for getting back with him…..LIVE YOUR LIFE!!!!! don’t tell someone what they should or shouldn’t do with THEIR LIFE! We need to pay attention to this economy and not this drama cuz last time I checked only afew people were getting paid to have an opinion on this matter.

I think the one thing that gets lost on this whole situation is AGE. These are not 2 grown adults we’re talking about here. These were 2 kids who have had superstardom thrust upon them. Just think about how hard relationships were back when you were 19-21 yrs. old, petty jealousies and insecurities and false pride & ego’s. Now add the various pressures of celebrity. See, people need to get out of the misbelief that money cures all ills. As for Oprah, I think her mis-pronouciation of Rhianna’s name speaks volumes. She shouldn’t even be commenting on this shit.

I’m sorry, but if I was Rihanna I would have completely dismissed everything Oprah said for the simple fact she couldn’t even pronounce her name correctly. To me, that made her statements very impersonal and like she was focusing on the topic for other reasons than Rihanna’s well being.
If whatever happened wasn’t enough for Rihanna to leave, than I think Oprah’s mispronunciation was enough to negate any words of wisdom.

The more I watch this the more I get offended. Don’t get me wrong I think we all love Oprah I’m just disappointed in this grand standing. Kind of the same disappointment you had in Micheal Jackson for the climbing trees and Micheal Jordan cheating on his wife with this ugly white chick who was married and her husband was begging MJ to give him his wife back, You know the same shame you felt when OJ was on the 101 in the white bronco. The embarrassment you felt when Whitney said crack is whack. Sometimes it takes a while before you see a flaw in your heroes, but Oprah’s is in plain view or full blast.

I have been the victim of violent women, and have friends that have been victims of violent women and think this entire news story has been bias to high heaven, it takes two to tango with domestic violence, im sick and tired of these beautiful women playing the part of the SNAKE, then re-coiling and being the innocent LITTLE LAMB, its a time-told story, so if anyones wondering why Rhianna is still in contact with chris brown, or why she wants him back, she’s probably guilty for her part in this.

1st oprah know’s nothing about abuse from men , what she knows about is incest and molestation by sick family members when she was 9 , thats a far cry to the turmoil’s of a relationship between two young kids in love. 2nd Oprah may be financially in a space where she doesnt need any help , but the fact of the matter is she has to continue to maintain interest in her show. Maury , Donahue ,Geraldo , Ricky lake , Jenny Jones , Sally Jessy Raphaël etc have all been either cancelled or completely changed to sleezy subject matter to maintain relevance , even Jerry Springer started out as a politcally oriented show. Oprah’s show has to be able to maintain interest to continue and that is not debatable.
3rd anyone who speaks on relationships has to draw from there own experience’s. I was pointing out the fact that she is quick to use others to do so rather than herself, more often than not she brings on Gayle to speak on issues of that sort rather than hers and if not Gayle she exploits public figures.4th if she reached out to Rhianna privately , she still embarassing her publically so that neutralize’s any impact her reaching out could have done so thats a mute point.Especially considering the issue is so fresh giving Rhianna no time to deal with her ordeal and the fact Rhianna’s in love with this man.
OPRAH IS EXPLOITING THS SITUATION , YOU DONT MAKE A BILLION BEING NICE TO EVERYONE ASK MOTHER THERESA.

No one knows what the hell is going on behind the scenes. Maybe Oprah did reach out already but it’s being kept private. No one will know. I have an acquaintance that has known me for years..and still can’t pronounce my name correctly. I always correct her and she still doesn’t get it. Some people are fixated on saying names a certain way. I don’t get it but she’s not the only one that way. Gayle was saying it correctly. Besides that I think Rihanna should not be with him. I don’t care how old or young she is. She knows right from wrong. She needs to leave that relationship. Everyone is entitled to her opinion including Oprah. I don’t care if Rihanna provoked it..no one deserves to be beaten or threatened like that.

Oprah is just saying something now because she was SO REPREHENSIBLE last week, whrn she was basically STILL blaming Rihanna if she ever went back to him & talking about what a great guy Chris is.
Please, I’m tired of the candy coating, and I find that the White Community, of all people, are the only ones NOT trying to do that. If he did anything close to this, he needs to RUN IT straight to the jailhouse.
Plus, if that white woman didn’t get Gayle off it, she would have still kept talking about what a bad message “Reeehanna” was sending. Yes I agree, but do these people understand that at this point it’s more about her life and her sanity than a message? First of all Rihanna’s real name is Robyn, and people need to find out what is really going on and why her self esteem is so low where she will accept this behavior in the first place. Steve Harvey every morning on his show tells everybody daily about requirements and what women should not except. In my my family Chris would have still been getting his ass whipped because he hasn’t been trained correctly and Oprah is correct he is going to keep beating on her because the right broad hasn’t came along and beat his ass, Chris grew up in a household watching his mother getting slammed on and usually when boys see that it messes them up mentally until somebody trains and let them know that THIS IS NOT HOW IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE. That brother needs couseling and a ass whipping at the same time and trust me once HE gets a beat down he will never want to hit another female in life ever again. FYI, I am a 31 y.o. black female who was in a dv relationship where alcohol and drugs were involved and no, I didn’t hit first. I am definitely for locking a man up if there is truly abuse going on, but I am not standing up for those women who hit first, get hit back and then cry victim later.
Men AND women should keep their hands to themselves. That is what I have taught my sons and my daughter.
