“Oldboy” fans…prepare yourself for “The Thirst”

The homie CaughtintheWeb posted the link to this fantastically creepy trailer for “The Thirst,” which is the upcoming vampire film from Korean director Park Chan-Wook, who did the cult-classic “Old Boy.”
Speaking of Park, I really hope those plans to remake “Old Boy” Americano-style have fizzled with the recession. There was talk of a Spielberg-Will Smith combo team…..which made me cringe.

Movie looks great, I don’t know what the hell is keeping me from watching Oldboy. Procrastination most likely.

Yea miss info! I totally agree with you on that Spielberg-Will Smith crap that they might be doing! It should be more like Starring Gary Oldman as OldBoy directed by Tarantino.. C’mon! imagine that! Let me be the director!

The entire Korean Vengeance Trilogy has plans for production…I’m crossing my fingers that those plans get scrapped as well. I don’t wanna see it happen AT ALL.
One.

The Vengeance Trilogy is sick and really good i loved Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, the classic and best in series Oldboy and Lady Vengeance. Thanks miss info for showing this off and making people aware of the movie .

I don’t understand why a remake should be planned, it’s too bad not to let the movie which seem nice and put subtitles, it’s silly to tell that but I think it keeps the intensity of the story rather to change it into a fake with Will Smith disgused as a vampire

Added to my NetFlix Queue.
Seriously Spielberg and Will Smith don’t need to remake OldBoy, they will F it up like Ringu and Ju-on. Just release the movie here in theaters like Crouching Tiger, House of Flying Daggers, Hero, Musa: The Warrior, etc.
If you want to see something just as wild and mind blowing as OldBoy, check out the Japanese flick VisitorQ.

Word on the street was they were changing a lot of the elements in Old Boy for the remake because of Will’s morals. I’m thinking why even eff with it anyway?

cleaning it up for Hollywood?!?! whats the point? The whole movie is about complete loss of morals and how an event can twist someone beyond their normal humanness
