No I.D. Talks About Jay’s Next Album, Detail Says He’s Producing For Kanye West

One of Kanye’s mentors, No. I.D. recently revealed to Billboard that Jay-Z has in fact started work on his next solo LP. We first heard about the project this summer at SXSW, thanks to Young Guru.
“Jay has started again,” reveals No I.D., who worked with the hip-hop superstar on “Blueprint 3″ hits like “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)” and “Run This Town.” “He played me a couple of things. I gave him some music while we were at the ‘Watch the Throne’ sessions. But with Jay, you never know what he’s really doing, thinking, planning until it’s really done… I’m sure he’ll make a decision one day to make an album very quickly, like he usually does. He’s one of the best, period. I think he’s at a place where he has visions of what he wants to do, and it’s not really dependent on any of us. It’s dependent on his vision and he’s gonna do it, [and] hopefully I’ll be involved.”

Jay-Z always disses people on his albums so it will be nothing new. I’m sure he will never talk about it but that is more of him being a grown man about it than a bitch in my book. How do you respond to someone that says they will kidnap your wife and hold her for ransom, the men lives in a fantasy life to even say some shit like that.

banko, u know i love your jay z rants, but your man advice will only get you killed or locked up. lol. do you think bill gates gets into fist fights? do you think warren buffet cares if someone calls him names? unless someone physically puts their hands on you, it is just words. unless someone says “i will kill you or i will do harm to you” you have not been threatened, and the law will put you in jail if you react without being reasonably prompted to. all-in all, keep up the jay z rants, they’re entertaining.

Agree with you both on this one. But Banko i will say Jay doesnt ALWAYS wait for the beef to die down. With Jim Jones,he re-did the We Fly High joint while the song was still poppin! @spythe ur right,its a fantasay world type diss! & how does a nigga whos been on ur dick for years ALL OF A SUDDEN figure you to be fake just because you called out his daddy,sugar daddy whatever! Glad to see both Ye and Hov are working on new solo albums. I think we can all admit now that WTT was a dud. The only good thing about that album was hearing how hungry Jay sounds again. His next album will be a monster.

I didn’t think WTT was a dud. I just thought watch the throne=reinvented Kingdome come. They basically just revisited the same conceptual lane and added some kanye/ no I.d inspired production. It was enjoyable But the king concept seems to be tiresome at some point. I only really enjoyed it when T.I did it lol I do agree with banko & spy though Jay will be taking plenty of Lil wayne and Cash money cheap shots on his next project lol Looking forward to both kanye and jay next projects

You’re right Gillmore. WTT wasn’t all bad but it’s not something I would listen to like any other Jay-Z or Kanye album. I don’t think Jay has to respond to Wayne though. Hov started it and people are making it seem like Weezy was picking a fight or something. For real I think Jay-Z might be one of the worst battle rappers. He’s good at sneak dissing like Banko said but you would’ve thought he’d have come back with a harder response to Ether than he did. But the point I want to make is he doesn’t have anything to prove anymore. Jay has the money, Beyonce, the fame, and an ever expanding business empire. He should be like fuck these lil rapper dudes. Wayne is no doubt the best rapper out right now but Hov been there and done that. What could he possibly gain from dissing or responding to anyone?

It’s funny when it comes to certain rappers ppl have selective memories….this “started” when Baby was on the radio and said Wayne was not only a better rapper than Jay-Z, but also had more money. Jay responded on the radio, joking that they could have a peek at the bank acct., for a price. Wayne went on record saying he admittedly couldn’t f^ck w/Jay money-wise. Then H.A.M., then Wayne said he’d probably have something witty to say in response…which brings us to the kidnap BS….as far as Jay responding, I think just dropping a better album than C4, which shouldn’t be to hard, will be enough.

you dont need a full song for wayne just a quick two verses just describing him from no rapper to no rocker. babe is a easy target and game same like wayne from begining to end. Just Illustrated pic/film etc. and see how much back and forth this two guys are. Hov been same since day one. same look. A SONG LIKE HOW TO LOVE FIVE YEARS AGO WOULD HAVE BEEN TROWNED IN THE BACK BURNER. But now seem to be a be hit. A real rockband would have made this song a better song. RAP is all Messed up. Miss Info I had to go back and research Detail just to see if he was putting on for the cameras but dude is like that on every interview I saw going back 3 – 4 years ago. Very confident, seems like a talented guy but I wonder if he turns that down in the studio. I could hear Kanye saying to him “STFU Fam cant you see i’m trying to do something over here”
