One week ago today (Apr. 7), the music industry was devastated with the news of Nipsey Hussle’s murder outside of his clothing store The Marathon in Los Angeles. As the entertainment world continues to mourn, fans are showing their support as the rapper’s Victory Lap debut album rises to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. Originally released in 2018, the album moved 66,000 equivalent album units last week following the late 33-year-old’s passing. It surpasses its original peak of No. 4 last year, during its debut week. The album went on to be nominated for ‘Best Rap Album’ at this year’s GRAMMY Awards back in February.

Eric Holder has been charged with Nipsey’s murder, and plead not guilty in last week. The 29-year-old could face life in prison if convicted and is currently held on $5 million bail.
