I’m a fan of young women who are comfortable in their own skin, hardheaded about their hustle and adamant about not being sheep. Now you already know I’m a Tiny Cottle stan, lol….and I love kooky cookies like Nivea…but lately I’m obsessed with Amber Rose and Nicki Minaj. I’m very different from them (read: prude) but loving their chutzpah : ) Over the weekend, both gals met at Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” videoshoot in Brooklyn (Kanye, Trey Songz, Common, JoeyIE, Weezy’s other girlfriend Shanell and more were there too)….and later, Nicki sent me a few of her personal snapshots from the set. I really have no issue with Ms Minaj outside of her making “music”. Hustle, grind, model, act….do it all and b successful. I’m just touchy about what people are puttin’ out musically.

I’m waiting on Slaughterhous’s album tbh, they’re worth 2 mill on a contract! u seen the outakes on the hilarious boy band sketch they did? As we say here, it ws PENG!

He’s the hip hop paris hilton and nicki is nicole. Drake can spit but he aint the star the media making him out to be. He hangs around wayne and wayne got a bunch of teeny boppers who worship him for no reason lol. So since he hang around wayne blogs all put him on there site to get all that teeny bopper love. It’s about bringing in as much net traffic in as possible. 80% of these blogs don’t even really know much about him lol
when you hang around lil wayne non sense rhyming syruped up ass you automatically become famous. In america you can make it doing all the wrong things or just by knowing somebody famous.

Thanks alot man, and thts wht I ws thinking too! He seems to have the teen core audience and when he raps he flows like lil lame I mean Wayne ughh. Its true, the radio puts these songs into ur skull forcing u to like them, u mite not like em at all. I dont listen to the radio or watch videos at all jus hav blogs and shit for my sources who keep it real! Ask me this bro, are we ever gonna see real hip hop (the Lox, Wu Tang, and west coast etc) being played again and again on the radio? hmmm

No real hip hop fan listens to the radio anymore. that’s why the same 11 wack ass songs get played over and over again. everyone calling in to make a request are half ass hip hop fans or just teeny boppers. I only listen to the radio when I’m board at work.this dude drake has only been rapping for about a year and a half(before wayne)and look at the push he’s getting lol. and you know what’s funny, his “hip hop” debut single is geared towards the female audience. who does that? why everybody want to be LL now? the stuff I heard back then was waaaay better than the shit I’m hearing now. The real shit is slowly coming back. More actual hip hop is starting to get coverage again now. The problem is these cats are taking forever to release material and promote it good.The others just say fuck it and put it out underground lol.

Its the same over here tbh, like we have dizzee, as our prodominant hip hop/grime artist but he’s becoming into a techno wtever genre slipping out of using classic lines and making what I call l.a.t.e songs (lyrically aesthetic to the ear song lol). I went to NY 3 years ago, the radio def changed cos it ws playing maino and gd shit basically at that time and suddenly all this shit happens? yeah he is lookin out for females, if u in the game, why not try and hav ur own style? why not try and lyrically be the best? The majors dnt give real hip hop a chance or push it as much and tbh man, the underdog’s always gnna be on top!

I’m curious as to what Nicki minaj does for money. Like she doesnt rap. So what does she do..just show up places and look pretty? Shes basically a mascot at this point. I heard one song by her on the Drought 3, its like shes a leech sucking on the collective success of YM.

–Maybe freedom of speech? And Nikki Minaj whole premise is on sex, Amber as well. So what would you expect? Nikki last name in her stage name is MINAJ. DUHHH!!!! It’s not like they came out on some religious stuff..It’s not like we said anything criminal.
But since it was edited by the host I’ll just keep it at…Wouldn’t mind seeing a nikki Minaj/Amber ‘Tape’. You know….one of those tapes like the ones that slipped from the likes of Paris Hilton, Kim Kardasian, Eve, Pam Anderson…etc, etc.
As for them being around next year…Who knows? Nothing lasts forever! Maximize your 15 minutes in the limelite while you can.
