Nicki Minaj Will NOT Be Ignored, Anna Wintour! (Scenes from New York Fashion Week)

New York Fashion Week is for designers to display next season’s wares to editors and buyers. But really….the business end of this parade has been shunted aside for the pure spectacle, put on by the front row celebs, seeded by the paparazzi, devoured by the tittering fans. But what do you think is going through the perfectly coiffed head of Vogue’s Anna Wintour when she sits down next to Nicki Minaj in the front row of the Carolina Herrera show? Anna in her ladylike print dress. Nicki in her Dylan’s Candy Bar x Mad Max breast plate and oompah-loompah color scheme kilt. And again today at the Oscar De La Renta show: Anna in a demure graphic gown and taupe heels. Nicki in a leopard print body suit, with a furry tiger head hat. Repeat: a furry tiger head hat. I love how crazy this pair looks!
I also love that in both cases, they were there to see the most quintessential upper crusty ladies-who-lunch designers in the biz. Carolina Herrera and Oscar De La Renta?! Don’t their satin and chiffon high-tea dresses self-destruct if the wearer wanders below 57th street, lol! Now it’s customary for celebs in the front row to wear the designer whose show they’re attending. So…Herrera lime fishnets at Bergdorf’s next Spring?

I’m tired of her, she’s becoming a bit over the top. She’s a beautiful girl but she is not innovative nor as daring as they put her fashion sense out to be. harajuku girls in Japan look wild dope and I can appreciate the aesthetic cause it’s a wavy culture. Minaj is just abusing the wave recklessly. But the leopard ensemble is swaged the fuck out, I gotta give her that much.

Nicki should of just worn a big sign that read: “Hey! Look at me! I’m a celebrity! I’m somebody!” It still would’ve been more subtle.
Meanwhile somewhere in Manhattan Anna Wintour’s assistant just got fired twice for getting her those seats!

Man I never seen Harajuku mentioned this much. It went from nil to Nicki saying it , now mufuckas are experts in it ? STFU .. lol . Got your passports stamped out in Japan do we? Talking to the people about the culture? Got a couple outfits in your closet? Doubt it.

It’s “wild ignorant ” to believe otherwise. All the amount of reading in the world wont let you fully understand something until you immerse yourself into it. You know, like a practice equation to get some understanding.
I had to google Omavi , I assumed you meant “wear” . Im grown up past the need to “wear” something of name. The only thing I want to own of name gives back dividends.

Harajuku or however you spell it is a style of dress for young people in Japan. you basicall put on half the shit in your closet and look like a damn fool. There is a book of 300+ pages of styles and my goodness they cats look like fools. In Japan, anything goes

I think that Nicki’s taste in clothing has a lot to do with her success. She appears to be very animated most of the time. Which keeps the attention of the masses. Some of her stuff looks stupid to me. Once in a while she looks nice though.
