Posted by Mr.North under interview , quotes , television[11] Comments
Nicki Minaj made a recent appearance on ABC’s Nightline for a one-on-one conversation with JuJu Chang. During their talk, Nicki touched on balancing her music content when it comes to her much younger audience, her wardrobe malfunction on Good Morning America last year, and living with an abusive father growing up in Queens, New York. The Queen of Young Money also took the opportunity to speak out on the constant comparisons to Lady Gaga, and the most important lesson she learned while working with Madonna.

Nicki took from Gaga, who took from Madonna, who took from Marilyn. Why deny it?

Lady Gaga = calls her fans Munsters. Nikki=calls her fans barbies . I wont even touch on how she used religious under tones in her music and keep going with the references.
If those are two different lanes I guess it makes imagery theft a intersection?
Agreed@hasim using Madonna as the original prototype

Uh, Madonna didn’t take from Mayrlin.
She took from Grace Jones, who Gaga took directly from..
Another media buried truth of black influence on music.
Go head, look up Grace Jones is 100% Gaga then some of Madonna.

more of that McDonalds journalism. ABC News asks a valid question “why are u like Gaga”, Minaj just says “no we aren’t”, and the ABC News is like ‘aight’. lmao. No investigation, no real forethought.

I agree with nicki they are in differnt lanes. GAGA is on the lane to success Nicki is on the slow lane to terribleness.

Honestly Nicki… Come on. U a black gaga. Gaga definitely took from Madonna and Madonna was a Marilyn. Now Nicki featuring and performing with Madonna and talking about her love for Marilyn and how icon she is and bla bla bla.
Look I am not going to say Marilyn Monroe wasn’t influential or inspirational for a lot of women BUT I gotta say I feel some type of way that she doesn’t speak enough about great black women she looks up to.
Nicki needs to remember she has a major influence now, she has to be careful about whatever or whoever she talks about.
