Last night, Hot97 held its annual Christmas Extravaganza event at Webster Hall in NYC. After all the gift unwrapping and family time, kids from all over the area piled into the venue to let loose and catch a glimpse of Nicki Minaj. As advertised Nicki put her feelings to the side and agreed to host the party for all her fans. Although, not everybody was pleased with her tardiness. She wasn’t scheduled to perform but reports say Minaj didn’t show up until nearly 2:30 AM. Fans still had a great time but check out what HHW had to say about the evening.

When Nicki finally arrived she revealed herself from upstairs in VIP, where she waved and danced to cuts off her album. Unfortunately that made the crowd even more agitated as boos were heard. The key word here, that some in attendance chose to ignore, is that Nicki was hosting.

The American Idol judge requested a microphone and asked the crowd if they thought she was going to perform. Mr. Cee clarified things and spoke on the crowds behalf stating that they wanted her to come down to the stage.  Nicki made her way down from VIP to a huge ovation and greeted some of the fans lucky enough to make it to the front. She closed things out with what was supposed to be a twerk contest that really didn’t amount to what everyone hoped for.
