The official press release for Jay and Kanye’s Watch The Throne hit a bunch of Gmail accounts around 7:00 AM this morning. The project is officially labeled as being released through Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Recordings/Roc Nation and will now hit iTunes on Aug 8th and retailers on Aug 12th. They will be also hitting the road in support of the album. And if that isn’t enough Hov and Ye would liked to be referred to as The Throne from now on.

After announcing another upcoming hiatus from music, reports have finally surface of Ms. Lauryn Hill having her sixth child. We would like to congratulate the happy mother on the new addition to her growing family.
It’s a boy for Lauryn Hill! The singer welcomed her sixth child on Saturday night, July 23rd, a source confirms to Blackcelebkids.com exclusively.
“Mother and baby are fine,” says the source, who adds that Hill and family “had a little scare because the baby came out the womb with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck. All is well now and everyone is happy.”
Amy Winehouse’s father addressed the love and support from fans outside of her London home.
“I know a lot of you, we’ve been together for five or six years and I know you’ve got a job to do. I’m glad you’re all here anyway,” he said, speaking to assembled reporters and photographers. “And as to you people in the street, I can’t tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier. We’re devastated and I am speechless. Amy was about one thing and that was love. He whole life was devoted to her family and friends and to you guys as well,” he said. (via Hollywood Reporter)

I think the reason why there are no NY dates is because Madison Square Garden will be going through renovations.

Jay & Yeezy are both great iconic artist but “The Throne” though? How lame is that.

Not calling them “The Throne” anymore then I would call Puff any of his other names. Still looking forward to the album and I hope this turned up show of public bravado and ego pushes others to step their music up. Not talking about diss records but just more powerful music.

For pure hilarity!! Comic Relief! So not to be taken serious..
And to piss niggaz off!! LOL
Everybody(MC wise) has expectations when it comes to these dudes n this album, on top of that a man just came out his face n said from now on call me ‘King’ lol wut would be da response to that “Not calling them “The Throne” anymore then I would call Puff any of his other names” or “…pushes others to step their music up.” Exactly!!!
bECUASE THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO LOOK forward to is Lil Wayne’s album n ya know thats gonna be played a Million times. n besides that Nas’s album is still a question mark Though ‘Nasty’ is really dope. then theres christmas kwanza n new years. N “Festivus for da rest of us”.
Ya see!! Enjoy it while ya can.
“IT’S ONLY ENTERTAINMENT!!!”

I think the Drama team up served to open her up to new listeners. THe mixtape wasn’t INSANE just her doing what she does, cleearly having fun with it at a time when folk act like no legit female MC’s exist.

Its a good way to urk your competition and have them going crazy on freestyles… they are planning to use the criticism, hate, jealousy make the rounds for them. once every rapper who feels offended start answering it will keep them more current on the tabloids…..Game was the first one, expect sigel, weezy, drake to get in line. And they are gonna fall right into their trap. They not gonna go the fifty route start fake beef they gonna let them start the beef for them…while they tour the country…… And have the others secretly promote “THE THRONE” thinking its up for grabs….

I so hope Beans keeps quiet. Do like Freeway and just make good music. As for Drake and Wayne, they love Jay-Z too much to really say anything to slick. Last time Wayne attempted to get at Jay yrs ago everyone fell back not trying to having no problems.
I’d love for someone like Andre 3000 to just pop up not with anything directed at them but justto remind folk that other Ill lyricists are here.

Finally got a official press release date/Tour dates which i feel should have been done from the get-go anyway. They have good energy on the stage, tour should be epic. But why they want to be called “the clones” for ?

I bet they didn’t even want a group name but it probably makes the legal logistics easier.
Same way that Outkast exits on one label but Big Boi signed to another label.
