On 125th street, a massive parade pops off. Jsmooth reports that Uma Thurman was spotted high-fiving folks out of her car while cruising down the street. Cipha Sounds and I came through after doing a live broadcast, but we missed the festivities : (
In Times Square, it was straight jubilation….
Clip from Q-tip’s party after the jump…
At Q-tip’s release party #3 at Santos Playhouse, Diddy and the homie D-Rock party hearty. I had to leave before Obama’s acceptance speech to get to the station, but was there when CNN projected Obama the winner and it was very memorable. I’ll upload Tip’s impromptu rhyme soon. (on a separate note, I hear Tip’s introduction of Kid Cudi was comedy!***)
*** approximation: “This is my muthafckin man! i love this dude he is the truth! the future! hailin’ from CHICAGO ILLINOIS!” (Plain Pat “uh cleveland”) oh my bad. CLEVELAND, OHIO! this guy is the future. he’s gonna tear it down! ladies and gentlemen! WALE!!!!!!” (*record screeech*) “my bad MAN. major fuck up. major fuck up. lots on my mind with this obama win tonight im sorry. KID CUDI!”
lol, oh to have seen Cons’ face….
Still wondering what that whole beef is about.

I cant wait to watch Sean Hannity on sly fox news. I know he feels like shit, one man happiness is another mans failure. I will miss that sexy milf Sarah Palin but to be honest Bush, Mccain & Palin ideology will continue to lead this country in the wrong direction.

I got to Santos right after Tip left so I missed all of the Diddy jubilation. However I did catch DJ Soul. Busta Rhymes came thru w/ a 10+ man entourage. Soul threw on “Arab Money” and the whole crew (Busta included) did that damn dance. Busta also got on the mic and talked some shit as well as performed a couple songs. I’m so delirious right now. Sleepy and delirious. But still ecstatic.

I am still in awe of the presidence set last night. I hear my elders, and to know what they’ve gone through for this to happen, is unreal to comprehend. Just 40 yrs ago, MLK Jr, and JFK were slained for the change Barack Obama campaigned for. I feel proud to be an American. The thing that makes me feel even better about this, is the fact that he was a qualified candidate, and not a political decoy. I am amazed that America chose a minority to lead this country. So many barriers were defeated @ 11:00 p.m., Thursday November 4th 2008. This is a moment I think none should take for granted! Hey Miss info, what’s this I hear that Shawn Carter might be running for Mayor of NYC next year???? Plz feel me in!!!!

Yeah,
I walked into work on the later side too. Not like I wish a mother would say somethin, more like be happy I called to let you know I was coming. What up with the first clip they got the bongos and tambourine going. Welcome to New York City. It was wild just about everywhere I had to talk myself out of heading down to the Whitehouse. Twice.

nobody is saying it, but the truth is that Hip Hop got Obama the presidency , The culture took over the US a few years ago, and when it was time to speak up and use the media and web exposure the rappers got together and did the right thing, 10 years ago who would imagine Jay Z and Puff going on the campaign trail to get a president elect… now its Okay to say , Hip Hop was responsible for the first african american presidency!

Lol it almost makes me think the millions of people who voted for Bush in ‘04 knew what they were doing cause they set this shit up perfectly for Obama to make history so thank you Republicans and GOP supporters we owe this all to you…

I prefer any president that mentions Blacks, Whites, Spanish, Asian people in the same speech.. We asians seem to not have a voice often and its good to see a president that wasn’t a pow of one of our nations.. plus the 44th has a chinese-canadian brother in law
