Nice video. Good choice getting Michael Jai White (from Black Dynamite, Spawn, The Dark Knight). Love the simplicity of the video using only colored fabrics to emulate the water and blood. One thing though, that Samurai must have grown up in Thailand, and not Japan to speak Thai, lol.

i also thought it was short but it was cute… i’m not sure how many other rap videos (female rappers, at that) have had such visually-pleasing, conceptual imagery in their videos. i like.

Song is okay. Video theme doesn’t go with the song. GTFOH. Her YouTube videos are better than this shit. I see that video budget is much cheaper than Massive Attack. I visioned the video being in a park in Queens, nigga with a doo-rag and waves on swim. This could of been a summertime banger. Waste.

Look the video was very creative, you don’t need a HUGE budget to make a great video. She did her thing. I’m not gonna knock another sister just because I don’t like her. She actually did a video that wasn’t all tits and ass and yet she still gets the shitty end of the stick. People if you don’t like her stop fucking clicking on links about her!

Miss Info can you answer why artists cd’s come out so LONG after their first single nowadays? To me it doesn’t make any sense…like if this song was hot, the buzz will def die down by November. I know she’ll have a 2nd single by then but the buzz will have subsided. I just don’t get it. Back in the 90s and early 00s if you had a single out, your album would be out like 4-6 weeks later max.

well i think usually the artists throw a single out before the album is done, and hope that it catches, esp on radio. Then they maybe try to sell that single and get the video out, so they can start the promo circuit, then a street single to service clubs or web, and then a second major single. For the most part, if there’s a solid single on radio, ideally crossover too, then a street single and another single on the upward swing, then its album date time, and another round of promo to work that, along with many levels of publicity (print, web, radio, lifestyle, etc)……

Nicki is doing her thang as far as being a featured artist but she’s 0-2 as far as solo singles even though this one is fairing better than Massive Attack. Her hype is too far out in front of her music so her next single better be an absolute smash or else…She needs to drop that classic solo joint
