The most promising rapper from the West Coast hooked up with NY streetwear brand RockSmith and jack-of-all trades Vashtie (who directed) for a new viral flick to accompany his cut from Section.80. Cop it on iTunes.
“Inspired by “A.D.H.D.”s dark beat and melancholy lyrics which explore a generation in conflict, we find Kendrick Lamar in a video that illustrates the songs universal and age-old theme of apathetic youth. Shot in New York City during the sweltering July Summer heat, “A.D.H.D” is the third video to be released from Kendrick Lamar’s debut album “Section.80″.”

The reason I like this kid is pretty simple. Hes a west coast artist but not your typical west coast artist in regards to his content. When you hear hes from the west you expect your typical gang banging on wax tune, but once you see hes conceptually expressive you know he has something to offer beyond his surrounding.
My favorite Lamar track “vanity”

Vashtie got a lot of negative feed back on this video on her YouTube channel. I guess the video didn’t have enough “swag.” Anyway, I liked the video and I’m feeling Kendrick Lamar. He’s definitely in his own lane.

Video is okay.. I think Vashtie & K.Dot take the L on it tho.. just didn’t seem to fit the song.
Agree with Angry Gilmore,
If your new to Kendrick.. check out his Kendrick Lamar mixtape and Overly Dedicated mixtape, Vanity is a crazy joint!
