Analog synthesizer pioneers Moog have just unveiled their new handcrafted synth they call the Sub Phatty today. However, Flying Lotus was handed a prototype to play with months ago, which he used to craft “Such a Square,” a one-and-a-half-minute composition for director Adam Fuchs’ new animated short, Moog Sub Phatty: New Machine for Living. A release for the Sub Phatty claims it “grinds and screams with a uniquely aggressive voice.” They aren’t wrong.
