After some issues with VEVO, Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt finally comes through with his “Chum” video. The track dropped about a month ago to mixed reactions. Given that there’s been a considerable amount of hype around the kid, rap critics are being extra critical with anything he drops. Personally, I still like the song and Earl’s wordplay on it. He shows his vulnerability, but doesn’t stray away from the OFWGKTA spirit. The black & white visuals were directed by Hiro Murai, and the song will included on Sweatshirt’s upcoming album, Doris.

I’m not even a fan but this song is dope. Gritty, quite Lyrical, flow is identifiable.

I still haven’t taken the time to really delve in to his repertoire, but I’m really digging this track, and the video just made me like it even more. Really dope visuals.
