Between this clip, and Alicia’s new one, and Rihanna’s Roulette, and that Gaga spectacle….wowza

(but for the record, I’m not sure why Lady Gaga was even added on to this song. She doesnt have a real part, and she looks extremely out of place in the video with her artful kookiness in contrast to Beyonce’s pure sexual intensity.)

The song was snoozeville without the Gaga addition. If it was so great standalone they would’ve released the original as a single without Gaga when the album came out a million years ago.

also. just because Gaga isn’t classically beautiful. doesn’t mean she’s ugly. For those of us out there with big schnozzes it’s nice to see someone like Gaga holding her own au naturel next to a bombshell like Beyonce. I love that she hasn’t had a nose job (yet…crossing my fingers)

Gaga shouldn’t have even been in that video. Why did the “vanilla” her up like that? Did they think she would outshine B? And why do I feel so weird about watching this? Like I should be sneaking like a young teenage boy at night? I feel some kind of way about Beyonce being more provacative the more popular she gets. I feel like she doesn’t need it.
And I really thought they would have had some sort of cross promotion with a video phone. Matthew get on your job!!

Did I notice three Tarentino references? Reservoir dogs(The slow motion intro), Kill Bill(The Black mask Beyonce wears in the intro/from the Crazy 88 Massacre scene) and Pulp fiction (Sam Jackson and John Travolta Pistols)? Not to mention what little we see of Lady Gaga It was almost a Cameo. I Surprisingly Liked it.(Haven’t been able to ‘enjoy’ Gaga’s videos before due to the ‘ahem’ extreme sexuality on screen.(At least not during the day). But she was sensually outperformed by Beyonce on this one.

I guess I didnt drink the kool aid Bey does nothing for me and neither does Gaga *kanye shrug* I do think GaGa has a decent voice and I liked Bey better in DC I dont think coochie popping = sexiness automatically. Nothing seems natural about Bey at this point she tries to be sexy IMO oh well moving on.

Why didnt Lady Gaga be herself? Why didnt she have her own scenes in the video with her OWN style and craziness? Lady Gaga could have shut it down like she usually does, but Beyonce’ wasnt going to have that.

If anyone is to blame,blame her manager Papa Bear(Matthew Knowles).Jay-z’s influence is minimum when it comes to her music,even the odd bodyguard i hear.

Beyonce is actually a decent singer,the actual space she’s in right now is because of the actual marketing dollars.
Personally i prefer A.keys, Melanie Fiona,MJB,Jill Scott and MC to Bey any day.

I don’t think that Bey outperformed GG, I think the idea was to sort of introduce GG to a different audience in a less than dramatic way. The record wasn’t a true collaboration. It’s just GG throwing some vocals on a already established record. And GG trying to be careful not to overstep since it’s not really her record. Now it would be interesting to see what type of music and video that they can create. And when that time comes, the 2 artists will meet in the middle in regards to video performance. It’s nice to see GaGa in a different light. In some of those GaGa close ups, I swear she sometimes look like Amy Winehouse. Where are are true avant garde musical talents on the men side to step it up with the stunning music video visuals? Actually, other than Kanye, who else steps it up in the visual dept on the men side?

I think alot of times these entertainers start to feel pressure from the younger chics esp as they are aging i.e. Toni Braxton, and then they start to play the slut card where it crosses over from naturally sexy and alluring to something else…..Bey IMO doesn’t have to go that route….

NO ONE puts Bey Bey in the corner so of course Lady GaGa is not gonna shine in a Beyonce video. Lady GaGa is hot right now so Beyonce had to be careful about her exposure. Beyonce is a telented beautiful woman however she is also a corporate creation with no personality. Beyonce is an entertainer and Lady GaGa is an artist. This is just my opinion so don’t bite my head off.
