Mikey: Man, Fif is lookin crazy in this music vid, clown mask and all. But it’s good in a scary movie kinda of way. There are scenes taken from Carousel that was awarded GRAND PRIX at this year’s Cannes film festival. When I saw it though it reminded me of that old Stephen King flick, IT.
(Update: The orginal Carousel after the jump)

Dude WTF are you taking about he basically took a sort film that was already amazing and made it worse by sticking his normal performance shots into it. Is that what passes for creativity these days? Here’s the original video watch it and tell me how 50 deserves any props for this shit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQ3D4CqHbJM

awww you feel better about yourself with the Fo investigative action. LOL
The video is dope, your over thinking it my dude. LOL Really it’s not that serious he’s exposing the entire culture to something they knew nothing about. You might wanna just relax and enjoy next time. Try not to blow a blood vessel over the small stuff.

The clown part was cool and the dancing around was not. This could of been bad as fuck, in a good way. This came close to being a major hit, video wise. 50 you had it you just missed barely should of had some more action to the set up and the ending. Relax 50 fans I am not hating so don’t cry a river.

Oh yeah, now I remember. I saw that thing on Ye’s blog months ago. You know how he’s up on that indie flick ish. I fell in love with it instantly, eye candy at its purest & sweetest. But, damn 50, way to molest a beautiful concept. How does he even know about shit like this? I mean its nice that he’s finally starting to branch out and draw from more alternative sources of inspiration [sure coulda used somma that 2 yrs ago, couldn't resist
] but this a prime example of great idea, poor execution.

I was actually impressed with the beginning then I saw Carousel, it basically just ripped off the beginning and stuck his party scene footage which looked like he couldn’t bothered, shame.

He should’ve stayed with the theme instead of taking it to the tired old club scene. I know its big budget but damn play a character for once. and i’m not counting curly!

The actual clown part is amazing. But this video. . .it’s like he just took someone else’s great ideas and then tacked on some crappy club footage to it. The parts 50s actually in aren’t even directed very well, it doesn’t feel like a good blend with the previous material.
The song bumps, however.

LAMES you’re embarrassing yourself with these “biting” comments. As the song says, “There’s nothing new under the sun,” which is the M.O. of how Hip-Hop began in the first place. Learn your history that’s what OUR culture does, but if you’re a LAME in Idaho or a do-nothing in the “hood” you just play virtual critic because that Officer Ricky album was the biggest flop of 2009. LOL Yep, I peeped your real motive.
Rick Flo$$ “I got the #1 album in the company,” said that lame back in April and it hasn’t even gone gold yet. WTF! Where’s the #’s at on that frisbee haters? This is not Fif’s best work, but it damn sure isn’t his worst. Stop hatin’ Ro$$ heads, fatboy is F-I-N-I-S-H-E-D!!!

To all the haters it seems like you want to hate but can’t come up with a valid hate comment. LMAO.. Each and every hater is saying the same thing, “the video started off dope but it came to a screeming halt”, just to quote one of the comments. THE VIDEO IS FIRE!! Name one 50 video that’s better?

And by the way there is cooperation between the people who created the Film and 50 cent…If any of you haters did any research whatsoever you’d know. Phillips hooked up with 50 and wanted to get more promo for this film since it was properly marketed so 50 incorporated it into the video so it could hit a larger audience…If you havent noticed yet 50 always has a smart business idea behind what he does….Get with it

Of course there is cooperation between Philips and 50 Cent on it — it’s pretty obvious since the video starts with a big ‘ol Philips flatscreen showing the video. That doesn’t mean that the video is any better. “The video started off dope but it came to a screeming halt” seems like a very valid criticism to me, that’s exactly what happened. The NEW parts of the commercial (I mean music video) don’t hold up, simple as that. And saying it’s better than 50’s other videos. . . .well, that isn’t saying much. Maybe the video would have been hotter if I hadn’t seen the better parts of it a while ago.
Stop implying that people are haters just cuz they don’t like something you do. 50 Cent isn’t paying your salary, relax.

If the video stayed with the clown concept and 50 robbed a bank, had a high speed chase, more action with the same effects this video would be one of the dopest music videos to date.. It’s not bad it just doesn’t flow right from the clown scene to him on stage in a club.. Would have been on some Dark Knight movie sh*t if they stayed entirely with the clown concept.. Not bad though.

the funny thing is when 50 gets inspired from something that isn’t hip hop and makes it accessible to hip hop fans he’s “biting”.
when 50 comes out with completely original sh*t…he’s “afraid to grow”….lol. Yall don’t love em till they gone huh???
Video hot, song crrrrazy. Just my opinion.
Another thing. Hip Hop got wack when a bunch of 16 yr olds started thinking they knew more about marketing, record sales, and content than label heads and other ppl actually in the music business. 90% of yall don’t got 2 nickels to rub together but are criticizing a multi, multi, multi millionaire on his business acumen & strategy????….laughable.

lol…if some of yall were blogging in the early – mid 90’s yall probably would have thought the flavor in your ear remix video was “too simple” or “started off good, but came to a halt”….laughable.
50’s supposed to be an idiot like Jim Jones spend maaaad $$$ on videos and u hoe ass n*ccas is gonna download it for free anyways??? Don’t be mad cause he’s spending his money wisely.
To me 50, cam & jeezy are the smartest ppl in the game right now cause damn near all their vids are viral and they not blowing budgets and still doing their numbers on all these blogs + the soundscan/ringtones/charts.

Love those bullet time freeze shots. Hard to get into another 50 song yaking about the guns he owns, how he looks in a club, how haters don’t want to face him, ect ect. Shampoo rinse repeat. Isn’t there anything else to rap about? How about telling a story to the bank robbery?

You’re right.

WOW!!!!! ya stay hatin on the NY kats…i bet if lil wayne, T.I., or Jeezy was in the song ya wouldve nutted on yaself and nominated it for a grammy or sumthin.
50 a smart kat and has sold 4x as much albums as all the above rappers highest single solo album. And he prolly got paid millions to promote phillips so I doubt if he even paid for the video.
Ya forgot what real music sounds like, well u just heard it, so turn down the lame “ring-tone” dance tunes and turn up”real” hip-hop!!
Peace
