that joint off TD where he says “im biggie smalls in the flesh” is a fuckin disgrace. he aint got shit on biggie. and wtf is diddy playin at, he constantly hangs onto ppl to try and stay relevant. hes no genius for signing biggie, any record producer who biggie wud have went to who had average hip hop knowledge wud have signed him on the dot, you dont have talent like that and not get noticed…and bad boy as a label has been lame as hell for years n e way.
what up joc

“any record producer who biggie wud have went to who had average hip hop knowledge wud have signed him on the dot (and i think u meant “on the spot”)…????”
Kind of a stretch there pimp. Sounds like your just jockin biggie waaaay too hard AFTER the fact.
If all we know is true, Big was a HUGE liability being in the streets like he was, PLUS it took the OBVIOUS vision a nigga like Puff has to see PAST the self proclaimed FAT, BLACK, UGLY ass nigga side of Biggie and make him a star anyway. Noone was doing s**t like that? It bugs the s**t out of me when people BLINDLY ride Biggie and/or Pac’s nuts and make ignorant generalized statements about the influence of the people that surrounded them. Puff was a genius for that. It was FAR from obvious Big could have become what he did. Without Puff there is no Notorious B.I.G.
Without B.I.G. there is MORE THAN LIKELY still a Puff because he would’ve used his intelligence, savy, and know how to just find ANOTHER sure thing besides Big. And “that’s the truth. Ruth!” lol.

And now you’re clingin’ to Puff’s nut hair. LOL
Those two dudes were one another’s yin and yang. Puff woulda never got that crossover appeal, no matter how hard he tried, had he not been part of Chris’ journey…and vice versa. They were made big (pun intended) by the culmination of their collective talents. They would’ve both been successful in their own rights separately but I don’t see them reaching the heights they did, without one another. Puff woulda been just another post-New Jack Swing, swagger-jackin’ ass, fool-ass, dancing-ass, typical 90’s, thiefin’ “producer”, and BIG woulda been BIG with the lumberjacks and the Carharts…nominally successful separately. In analogy form, Puff was carbon. BIG was iron. Two potent materials separately but together, they form steel. One of the most powerful materials on this planet. An alloy that has new properties but also maintains some of it’s original identity!

that was his first real act so you cant say he had talent but hunger to get somewhere .. any label big would have when on would have shined but it would have to be a label that pushing his fame that makes him blow big as he is

Raekwon still got that 90s flow… that’s a good look for hip-hop. I heard he’s working an a join with Eminem and Nas if that’s true I hope he bring his “A” game cause I need that authentic Hip-Hop/Rap
@Steve … I understand your frustration lol I feel more or less the same way —> checkout this clip from Hot 97’s Morning Show Cipha Sounds & Peter Rosenberg addressing the issue http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/song_4573972

I’m really diggin’ what Ross is doin’ with this album. It sounds cohesive….a single thought or theme,if you will, that rides on through. I wasn’t one who was too fond of his work before. A song here. A song there. But now, like I read in an interview with him…it’s become more organic. Less about lyrical dexterity. More about overall feel. This album, from what I’ve heard, just falls in the pocket. Which in my opinion, makes it more accessible.

I heard the full track to the Cee Lo track.
It makes you appreciate it even more to hear it without Cee Lo. He brought A LOT to that track. Amazingly creative.
