New Music: Nas “Black President” and LL Cool J’s braggadocio
Posted by Miss Info under new music , things I like , things I'm supposed to love but I'm not quite there yet[10] Comments

thank you to Nile, Legend, Wegotit1st for sending over this song…and mixtape cover:
Nas’ “Black President” from the upcoming Green Lantern x Nas “N—-r Tape”
I love the messages in this song, but the beat is not my favorite Green beat so far. Can’t wait for the tape though.
DJ Forge reminded me about this LL Cool J “Hi Hater” freestyle which is ego-tripping at its best, even if the instrumental is super monotonous without that catchy Maino hook. Via Mr. Xclusives.

Click for a (new) blast from ( some favorites of ) the past…..
Two reason’s why I’ll always have a soft spot for the Artifacts…1) Big Beat Records (what up Reef!) and 2) Between a Rock and a Hard Place record review. As for Del the Funkee Homosapien, I liked the idea of his weirdness more than I actually liked his album back in the day. But Mista Dobolina Mista Bob Dobolina was my ish!
Random combo of the day….
Tame One feat Del “Catch Me”

Tame one and Del – That is very random. Thanks for posting that Info – I would have never heard it otherwise. I think it’s about time for an Artifacts reunion. Screw it – it’s time for a Ousidaz reunion, too.
As for Del – hit or miss – but the beat on this song is magnifique

The beat is a bit odd on first listen but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. Give it a few listens and you’ll be rocking to this without any qualms. Nas is spitting. The second verse is especially nice. Let’s go Esco!!! And Celtics!!!

Nas went BANANAS on that track. Nice sampling from TUPAC. yES WE CAN! I hope they don’t try to kill OBAMA when he becomes president though. THAT WOULD BE REALLY MESSED UP.

That double “L” joint is fire. Classic material. The Nas joint was cool too, but the boy Esco needs to spit on hotter beats to compliment his skills

LL need to stop sayin he’s G.o.a.t because he not. he a legend but,not G.O.A.T.
because his music cant be compared to big or pac.ONLY HOVA(JAY-Z)COULD PULL OFF SAYIN HE G.O.A.T.because he consistent at what he do.and his music can be compared to big and pac.LL is not consistent. he was hot back in the days.these few years he been rappin about love and just bullshit and now out of the blue he wants to be G.O.A.T. I think he’s letting 50cent gas his head up to think he could take on JAY or be G.O.A.T

One thing i can say 4 L is that at his age and considering how long he has been around and what he has done for hip-hop, lyrically he can hang if not decaptiate the best of them. His flow is smooth and his lines are crazy. Greatest of all time that is left up to the fan. LL is definitely in my top ten of G.O.A.T.
Nas who is also in my top ten G.O.A.T. is lycrically gifted. However the song “Black President” is just what is Nas doing what he does best delivering thought provoking conversation with his airtight flow and delivery. I have to agree with J. Ceasar the best could’ve been iller. Yeah i said Iller. Ima an Ol’ Skool cat, ya digg!!!!

Rakim is the true G.O.A.T.
Not LL, not biggie, not jay-z…but nas is 2nd best, because he went beyond rakim conceptually, while also competing technically.

Rakim is definitely my #1 MC of all time, however Nick you gotta give props to Nas, LL, B.I.G and Hova.
