New Music: Lil’ Wayne feat. Drake “Gonorrhea”
Drake sat down with MTV2 to speak on his Lightdreams & Nightmares Tour that kicked off last night in Miami. The tour which also features Tyga & Bun B ends the same day as Lil’ Wayne’s rumored “Welcome Home” concert in November.
For Mixtape Daily MTV’s Shaheem Reid asks Drizzy about his line on Bun B’s “Put It Down” where he refers to himself as “Young Sweet Jones” (“I got 100 girls in each phone/ Drizzy Drake mane, Young Sweet Jones.”) which is a nickname tied to the late Pimp C. When the song released some listeners felt it was a form of disrespect to the fallen rapper.
“I just feel that I’m a huge Pimp supporter,” explained Drake, who sends the MC an R.I.P. at the end of his verse. “I’m a huge Pimp fan. I feel like I’m extended UGK family. Bun and Pimp are like uncles, dads to me. They’re G’s. [When I'm around them], I feel like I do around my uncles. They’re still the coldest cats in the world, but Bun makes me feel … he’s a legend. His presence, it’s like me calling myself Young Bun B, [when I call myself] Young Sweet Jones.

But they are much better than anything by lil wayne.
I can’t believe how many people drank the Wayne-aid. I have tried to give him a chance and listen to his stuff, and I’m disappointed with him, and myself for wasting my time on his garbage (did it again with this garbage he put out).

Another exaggeration. Those verses are not better than ANYTHING Lil Wayne has put out. But, I do agree that he puts out a lot of garbage. Quantity over quality. 300 songs a year is just ridiculous.

Play to win, girls in the club moving
I get ‘em real hot, my songs seduce ‘em
I flow, I’m so mysterious
Nas, and Nasty’s the alias
Everything platinum I glow
Cadillac trucks pulling up to the do’
On top out the car, lounge at the bar
We spent a thou’, we wild, look at how rowdy we are
Feel like a million dollars, feel me holler
To the max with the Benz and chrome wheeled Impalas
Thugs and renta’s, to the playas and ballers
Sexy mamas, fly ladies lookin’ proper
Look good enough to be taken shoppin’
Earrings, bracelets, now you rocking
Your body’s so nice that I give you this option
Let you wear my big chain if we get it popping
versus
Re, Re, Reporting from anotha world
Look up in the sky and see me porting wit a cova girl
She know that is fly after I’m through then its anotha girl
I can make your wife and your sister fuck your brother girl
Rock Star Biotch
Check out how we rock
And if this ain’t Hip Hop
It must be Knee Hop
I’m higher then a mothafuckin chronic leaf tree top
I make da nina sing like “shoot a du dee wap”
You want the facts daddy? well I truly do need pop
And I get my candy from your girlfriend’s sweet shop
Still get a stomach ache every time I see cops
You better run motherfucker, Cuz we not
Yeah you bitches better run til your feet stop
And I’m so, fed up wit street cops
I’m colder than a ski shop
I’m holdin’ on to the top
And even if I let go
I still wanna G rock
And that song was Nas’ weak/horrible lyrics, and this is from Wayne’s new “Fire” material. They are on the same caliber, not sure which is worse.
Quantity over quality is def Wayne’s thing because people are drunk off that Wayne-aid. I’m not saying that Nas’ Owe Me lyrics were his greatest (this was a horrible attempt by nas to get a club banger), but they def better than any of Wayne’s nursery, so called “deep” metaphorical rhymes.

Wow. This is my exact sentiment. I just can’t beleive how many people I hear say
“he is so lyrical.”
“he is the truth”
“he go hard”
He needs to go. He is straight trash. He gets so much support, yet lyricists such as Joell Ortiz can’t get regular airplay. This is what is wrong with music….Nicki Minaj, Wayne, Wocka Flocka….list can go on…
