New Music: Kendrick Lamar Feat. Dr. Dre “The Recipe”
Posted by Mr.North under Albums , New Music[10] Comments
Kendrick Lamar debuts the first-look off his upcoming Aftermath/Interscope debut album. For his single titled “The Recipe,” K.Dot didn’t have to look far as he gets assistance from his mentor, Dr. Dre. The two Compton-bred artists come together over the sounds of another L.A. native in Scoop DeVille on this smooth, laid back offering. What’s the recipe you might ask? “Women Weed and Weather,” which is what the song was originally titled. Fans can purchase the song on iTunes tonight.

Dope song.. I love the way Dre’s flow changes with whoever he is mentoring. #Justsaying

I’ve honestly listened to this track 5 times in the last half hour and all I have to say is that this song is nothing short of amazing!! Everything about this song is brilliant! From the harmony of the chorus to the almost hypnotizing sample of the woman singing and the synergy between the two artists leaves a burning impression in my musical memory bank.
I yearn for more musicianship like this. This is not the typical over-saturated, cookie-cutter, mundane, uninspired & generic trash that litters most of hip-hop today.
Am I the only one feeling this, this much? Or am I hyping?

Kendrick Lamar and the Black Hippy movement is the only redemption for this generation’s hip-hop.
