New Music: Gucci Mane “Lemonade” (Produced by and inexplicably leaked early by Bangladesh) I like this sing-song chorus. Reminds me of a Cam beat for some reason.

For the life of me I’ll never understand why people hat Joe Budden so much the dude is so supremely talented. Alot of trash artist get so much love out there but this dude lyrically has it he’s creative and he’s actually talking about something in his rhymes go figure hip-hop song with an actual subject you’d think it was a novel concept the way some of these dudes out there spit. Can’t say I’m the president of the Joe Budden fan club or anything like that but i do think the guy should def get more shine and respect in this game. I’ve herd this Birdman song before and like it. Drake does his think as usual, that kid is crazy consistent can’t say he’s ever spit a verse that I seriously hated, he always sounds good. Birdman actually sounds half way decent here as well, I wounder if he wrote it hhhmm probably not. Bun B is a legend he can do no wrong. The Gucci Maine song didn’t work sorry info and I hate the Robin Thicke song and video, which is a shame cause I’m a fan of Robin Thicke’s music. Too much falsetto in the verses, the bridge and hook are kinda lazy. It sounds like something the Dream wrote and left off his album I could just here an Eh Eh thrown in somewhere in there LOL. The video looks like some kinda weird period piece.

I think Joe Budden doesn’t get the respect he thinks he deserves because of what he raps about. He raps about social sciences to a degree and gets mad personal on records explaining himself and his character being misunderstood e.t.c as a man. I get it but to me it’s the same type of discussion you have with your peoples everyday it’s not entertaining.
Me personally, I like that hustlers music, yeah some get personal but the topic would be about who or what is standing in their way of success.
Thats why out of all the links, I went with Jim Jones because of his upcoming “Ghost of Rich Porter” mixtape. I dig the concept. It’s the track I like the most out everything posted, LOL!
I’m not hating on Buddens, dope flow, articulate but boring topic and concept.

Wowwwww…it’s like you read my mind and my thoughts for the past couple months…Drake is a superior artist to most of these dudes rapping BUT…BIG BUT…this Cash Money/Young Money thing isn’t the move for an artist like that…Drake is not lollipop punchlines, he can actually turn a so so beat into a hot song unlike Weezy and the rest of them who need fire beats to spit lali gag and make it sound good…it’s just not a good match
Basically what I am seeing right now is LeBron James playing along with the Knicks and their current roster, just one great act surrounded by subpar and not making the playoffs.
Even their beats dont do him justice…it’s simply a bad fit…to bad all decisions in Hip Hop now are made based on money because that dude could have stayed in Toronto and really did him…he’s not a click type rapper, especially that click.

Wayne can go in on any beat, he’s proven that. Nicki can spit. And the younger components of YM, namely Twist and Tyga, will only get better. I know I’m not the only one who remembers the infamous Back that ass up verse he blessed the world with when he was a kid. Millz and Gudda have to go. I do agree, though, that the overall theme of YM doesn’t fit him, as an artist. Wayne showed him love first, so that’s where he is for the moment, I guess.

The state of Hip Hop Nation is depressing…If it weren’t for Fif I would probably be shopping for another fav music genre…my music life has been sad really…I grew up on Hip Hop then discovered dancehall and left hip hop, then dancehall took a very bad turn so I came running back to hip hop with my tail between my legs with flowers and now I’m thinking of leaving them both and stop this love triangle…I might just take it to New Orleans and get into Zydeco (I’m musically inclined bravo me)
Ok the purpose of my bitching is if a website that is setup to give us the latest and hotest in Hip Hop is posting up a song by Gucci Mane (especially that song) and the host is saying “I like this song” Houston we definitely have a problem…if this is what they call good music, the nation is really falling from it’s grace…Joe Budden was the only of the 3 that remotely resembled the Hip Hop I fell in love with…my first wife…
Actually Joe Budden nailed it…it was substantial, it told a story you can connect with and feel, it exposed things that caused him emotional distress, it sounded really good, it was on beat…it was funny and clever, it showed intelligence…it was poetic…it simply was Hip Hop…
The first track with Birdman, Drake and some other guy is one of the new cancers in rap, features…it seems you just cant get an MC to carry a song anymore, this is sad…it is the laziest state and most stagnant our glorious Hip Hop has ever seemed and people are moving like ants one following the next to get their dose no one complaining…can you remember the last time you listened to 3 rap songs back to back on the radio that did not have so and so featuring so and so?…worst, especially with these Weezys and Jeezys and Freezys a lot of times the artist who owns the track is the worst on the track…I have sadly even seen this with the man considered the best in the game Jay Z…
Jay-z’s song Run This Town features two A list artist (the recipe to a hit these days feature A list singer and if there’s room get another A list rapper, spit 16 bars and voila those suckas will eat it up) Rhianna and Kanye West…although Jay didn’t suck in the song, both the features completely outshined him though…the second big single off his album Empire State of Mind he didn’t even need to spit, Alicia’s chorus is all that really matters…
As a consumer I find all this insulting. If I am buying your album, I do not want 16 tracks and 10 of them are featuring this featuring that…Then you want to front and start calling yourself “The greatest alive” or “greatest of all time”, how can that be when you’re constantly getting boosts from other A listers? Did Muhammad Ali only fight 6 of his rounds and have someone else stand in the rest to become the greatest?
I’m sorry for this long read but am really losing my patience with Hip Hop and the mentality of accepting anything that we have developed…look at the people we are crowning king…we have dudes that cant spit 16 bars where each bar relates to the next…we have dudes that are spitting nursery rhymes basically freestyling on album tracks on 90 percent of their songs and yet we’re calling them the greatest…that’s a spit in the face of those that brought us here…
If 50 stops rapping today I would be done with this shit…
P.S. if you dont have it pick up Before I Self Destruct…it’s pure unadulterated hardcore Rap…18 tracks for your ass and only 3 featuring which only one was necessary. If you’re a gangsta it’s gonna make you shoot somebody (joking) if you’re like me not a gangsta it’s a great gym companion…
I’M PRETTY LIKE A HARLEM NIGGA
I’M A SHOOTER LIKE A BROOKLYN NIGGA
I’M A HUSTLER IT GET NO BIGGER…QUEENS
