By now you know French Montana’s in the middle of a label bidding war. Rumors have been circulating of Maybach Music Group, Bad Boy and G.O.O.D. Music interested in adding the South Bronx-rapper to their team. Tonight, Funkmaster Flex blasts off the remix to French’s street-anthem “Shot Caller,” with help from Diddy and Rick Ross. Expect an official video for the original version to drop in the coming days.

Feeling this joint; dont know if its the under tones of Diddy benjamins references or the biggie drop for ross; but this is just a perfect example of embracing the new generation in NYC. Nice blending by harry fraud
I love flex but I couldn’t take his over-sensationalism and cutting it off every bar lol I wanted to just listen to the whole thing with no drops thanks info

I like French…as a hustler, as rapper…not so much! I mean he iiiight! But I can’t front the last few joints I’ve been feeling from him all were because of the ol school beats he sampled! Not to say that’s the only joints I like from homie but I DEF don’t see what the bidding war is about! If he’s on G.O.O.D. — he’ll be GLC status! Oh wait, GLC actually dropped an album, so he MIGHT even fuck around and be Really Doe status and NEVER DROP! And if he does he ain’t ever gonna sell like Mitsubishi Tah or Crack Child lmao! His flow ain’t for everybody (and by everybody I mean A LOT of people)! Even his joints I knock, other people rip it apart! I mos DEF think the Roc Nation one is BS! He prob took a Jay Z “wassup” to the head! Diddy I could see though!

I remember when french first came on da scene he had that video with Pee Wee kirkland in it,he was army fatigues out spitting some raw lyrics he was going hard with da DVDs…..Then outer nowhere his lyrics took a turn for the worst,I guess he had to dumb it down….Bottom line i may listen to his new joint here and there but it aint enough to make me want to purchase!

There has always been something about this dude that i like, although there are some many things I hate about him that I can’t even count. But what I like about him i do like. I also do not understand the bidding war around this Kid. Maybe his boys Diddy and Rick Ross are trying to pull a Pump & Dump Move. Where they generate interest so a big label can bite the bullet. That’s the only scenario I would see.
I don’t see him as good solo artist, but he can probably be a good component of a solid crew. Soft of like Drag-on was, Bleek, Sheek Louch and many others that fit that mold.
I don’t see how he fits in Bad Boy, diddy has turned into the new Dre, like his artist never put out albums anymore. Red Cafe already lost his heat. No album. He’s probably a write off by now.
He can probably been a good Fit on MMG, they can hide his lack of talent by limiting his singles to one verse. And having Ross and Meek do the rest.
But there is still something about him that people like. And I think it is the fact that he got shot in the heat and lived to tell about it. People like guys that have this type of resume and Rappers like this guys even more. Because they can have this type of guys around to legitimize their crew and stuff like that. At the end of the day, good for him.

This is the most disrespectful song to the Notorious BIG and it’s coming directly from Diddy. I stop listening to this song once Rick Ross started rapping over the Notorious BIG beat.
