Still wished he would avoid that singing. I wouldnt care if he was a good singer. He just isnt. Hes just an incredible rapper with an annoying singing voice.
There are so many ways to create a hit song without having to singing like he does. sigh..
The bridge of this song hurt my ears to be honest…

Don’t talk garbage man, I hate rappers who sing as much as the next guy. But Em did well on this track. The the hook stood out as muching as his rapping did.

How am I talking garbage?
Many people agree with me that his bridge was annoying. I said bridge and not hook. Read.
And no. I, unlike you, dont hate rappers that sing, as long as they deliver.
Em just does not have a singing voice, period. I understand you’re his fan, but so am I.
His raps are unparalleled sofar and most people will agree.
All I know is that his best joints sofar were all because of his raps and never because of his singing. Ever.
And if anyone is asked to name a reason why they hate on Em, aside from his skincolor or his content, its mostly because of his voice.
If you disagree, prove me wrong.
Name one song where his singing was great. His sung hooks can never stand out as much as his flow.

Decent song, kinda bland, but soooo much better than all those silly weird voice songs he did last year. He wants to know why he doesn’t get mentioned in the league of the all-time greats, but it’s because he acts silly and raps about dumb shit all the time. Did you ever see Biggie wear a dress on his video? Uh, no… Em has talent, but he needs to stop catering so much to the mainstream crowd. This is at least a step in the right direction.

DrewRa ur a idiot! Em is the greatest because he can appeal to both…he can come out with a song like my name is and then turn around and come out with a song like the way i am…thats true talent, listen to the lyrical content of this song, listen to what hes saying! what rapper you know actually has true meaning in their songs? You cannot compare Biggie and Eminem because they are 2 totally different artist…Dumbass

Em gets mentioned with the all time greats BY the all time greats and by anyone with a set of ears and any kind of knowledge of hip-hop and lyricism. If you don’t hear him mentioned, something’s wrong with you, not him. What the hell does him dressing up and doing funny shit have to do with anything? That’s his personality. That has no bearing on his talent. My top 5 always changes around but there’s only 2 that are in there consitantly: Nas and Em.
Now, on to the song…. it’s ok, nothing special. I’m def tired of the singing from all rappers; he’s been using that same delivery ALOT and needs to switch it up from song to song; glad he mentioned Relapse being sub-par and “the voice” ’cause stans can now realize it was not “hating” for us to say those same things when the man said it himself. Welcome back Em.

C’mon man you kids today crack me up it’s always one or the other, both can’t be respected and acknowledged for there talents, and what they contribute. Do we have to start this for the 10 thousand time. Can’t you just like or dislike the song.
So let’s get this straight Em is lyrical for writing songs like, Not Afraid and, Loose Yourself, Stan, and Forever…but you conveniently forget he also wrote We Made You, and Without Me, The Real Slim Shady, and Just loose It. Good songs; well some of them at least, but any hip hop purist whould hardly call those songs lyrical.
At the same time Jay-Z isn’t lyrical at all right? because he wrote Hard Knock Life, Change Clothes, 03 Bonnie & Clyde, Show me what ya got…and other poppier hits but you’re gonna ignore the fact that The God MC also blessed hip hop with D’evils, 22 two’s Can I live, friend or foe I & II pretty much all of Reasonable Doubt, Lucky Me, You Must Love Me, Where I’m from, Streets is watching, Minority Report, Meet The Parents, Soon You’ll Understand, pretty much the entire Blueprint…
C’mon man both artist are great you can like one more then the other it’s all opinion but to designate one lyrical and the other not lyrical at all based on whatever material you conveniently selected and ignored from each is ridiculous and no disrespect makes you sound alittle nieve. I’m just sayin

Kenny_Goodtimes!! Please understand the reason why I said what I said. It basically like this, picture growing up watching Larry Bird and Magic and saying wow these dudes are the best ever. Then as time went by here comes some young kid from North Carolina basketball team name Michael Jordon and after watching him you start to say wow this dude got skills then as time went by your like yow this guy is the greatest then as he got older his once great skills start to diminish then one day this younger kid name Kobe came straight out of high school and etc… etc..
The point I was making is this, we all grew up on Jay-Z in his prime he was one of the best in his era along with Biggie pac and a few others but, now in this era his skill have diminished, I say that because he can still rap but the context is the same old recycle stuff he raps about. Now understand this one day or soon someone will come along and be the best in that particular era.

Umm.. “Without Me” & even “The Real Slim Shady” actually were profound with lyricism……… Guess you ‘don’t listen to music, you just skim through it’…….
Poor choice of songs for you to use on your argument.
“Not Afraid” is dope… Plain and simple.

@DaTruth I respect your opinion and how you stated it in your second comment. Perhaps it would’ve been better to say what you ment then, that you feel Jay-Z is not as lyrical as he used to be anymore, and that Em is now more so in your opinon. Which is fine if that’s how ya feel. I mean I disagree I just feel like Jay’s got nothing to prove anymore and no longer has to out rap your favorite rapper. He’s in a place in his career where he can just make the songs he wants with no reason to show and prove. But to say the man is not Lyrical at all is crazy talk.
He’s evolved from going above the rim to an unblockable fade away like Jordan did, yeah it’s not as flashy but it still gets the job done.
So when you said “Jay-Z Who?” and state that Jay-Z is not lyrical it’s like ignoring the 6 rings and just watching MJ play for the Wiz. Yeah Kobe’s nice now but but both in there prime he’s no MJ
I also disagree when you say Jay raps about the same things, Kingdom Come and the Blueprint 3 were great departures from other topics and when he did step out of the box purist criticized until American Gangster when he showed oh yeah he can always do that stuff in his sleep. It’s Eminem who’s formula over the years has rarely deviated, it’s usually a corny first single and video mocking B list celebs followed by and angry rant song to bring the core fans back in…there’s the I hate my mom song, the drug song, the I hate kim song, the fuck the media and censorship song,…same old hat everytime, but don’t get me wrong it is a really good hat but it aint really different from year to year.
Hey it’s all good though I think Not Afraid is dope and that’s what matters right now.
April 29th, 2010 at 8:34 am
This song is okay… The beat is meh. I think it would be better if he had Elton John or like a big singer guy on the hook. Eminem sounds like elmo or one of those muppets when he sings.

To my real rappers out there, please dont let this whiteboy and all his fans show us up.

So you say fuck Em because of what OTHER people say and not based on anything HE’S said or done? That’s real rational.
You say we put Em over the greats? Have you done a servey? If someone is labeled a great, no one can be elevated over them, they just have thrones side by side. Btw, Em IS one of the greats whether you like it or not.
I brought up Rakim because he is one of MANY greats that would gladly sit next to Em in a portrait of greats. He did more than just shout him out. This is his exact quote:
”Eminem is nasty man, I don’t care what color he is. I don’t care about none of that nahmean? Real artists respect real artist’s man. Especially like a conscious artist that sits down and writes and hears another artist that sits down and does his writing…and he know…a brother nasty. Regardless, you can’t take nothing away from his thoughts and his pen, nahmean? Em is nasty man, I tell people to this day…if Em was black…he’d be the next Muhammad Ali man.”
Pardon me if I respect his opinion more than yours. Infact, what he’s saying is there’d be NO debate on whether or not Em’s the GOAT if he were black. He’s saying because of people LIKE YOU he’s actually held back from a status he may deserve. How does it feel to have “your” legends shit on everything you’re about?
You seem to have your panties in a bunch because he’s white and get props AT ALL and NOT becuase of where people place on the legend totum pole. You’re not basing anything you’re saying on his talent which makes everything you say worthless. You don’t give a shit about Hip-Hop. Anyone who actually cares about Hip-Hop is ONLY concerened about quality material put out under the umbrella of the culture to evelevate it higher and higher. YOU don’t truly care about Hip-Hop so those are NOT “YOUR” legends, they’re MINE. YOU shit on the culture with your very existence.

@logic, that still does’nt change my opinion of EM, i said that already. Rakim is being PC, im not. you keep mentioning Rakim like he is the entire hip hop culture. Why does’nt Rakim gain the sales that EM get? You know why. The culture i came up on was never of a rapper who constantly makes dick references, killing his mother references, his baby mom references, taking drugs and dissing Black women. I came up on the BRAND NUBIANS, MELLY MEL, KANE, RAKIM, P.E.,TUPAC. MY come up wasnt based on what alot of these rappers do now and brag about woman, clothes and money and i defintely didnt come up on what Em spits, i dislike artist such as WAYNE, DRAKE, NICKI, DAMN SO MANY TO MENTION. But the thing with Em is more personal, i took his foolish pride song to heart and dont say cuz he was young he deserves a pass. NO! Im not forgivng as Rakim is. DR DRE tried to get Rakim on that shit Em on and Ra bounced. Ra is humble enough not to dis anybody, im not. The rappers i mentioned such as Kane, kool g, chuck d, Rakim ARE COMPLETELY overlooked, overshadowed by a white “undercover racist” who knows that his skills plus skin color make him the dominant factor in this hip hop. Em aint stupid. He also knows that he has to keep his skills sharp otherwise he will be clowned like Vanilla ice. The only rapper who can rehearse balls in his face, dissing Michael Jackson, make clown ass pop hop and make a so called hip hop song to please the hardcore hip hop generation who are to damn stupid to see that they are being manipulated by a smart white rapper, a dumb black producer who only wants the money just as much as Jimmy Iovine, the man who made “rock n roll nigger.” So you can get the fuck outta here with sticking up for this clown. SO WHAT IT SEEMS HE DOES THINGS FOR HIP HOP, THATS WHAT UNDERCOVER MEANS, YOU DONT SHOW YOUR TRUE ACTIONS. Stop bringing up Rakim, next time talk about “FOOLISH PRIDE”
But you wont!

“i took his foolish pride song to heart and dont say cuz he was young he deserves a pass.”
I can say that and I will. I’m disgusted by racists (you), homophobes, and sexists however, if any of us were to have a non-public moment recorded at random then had it played in public, we’d ALL be in trouble. That could be the only questionable thing you’ve ever done in your life, but because it can be replayed, it looks like it’s ALL you’ve ever done. So, unless he’s a repeat offender, this means nothing to me. Maybe you had that shit on loop, I don’t know, but I didn’t. You taking it to heart is your business. You may not get any of this because you put whatever idiotic thing your mind formulates out in the open. Us normal people however, are guilty of having those same moments… we just make sure no one was taping first though. Also, most people coming out of relationships will say some foul shit about their exes whenever they get a chance. They’ll rip into’em by saying anything they can think of.
“Rakim is being PC, im not. you keep mentioning Rakim like he is the entire hip hop culture.” “Ra is humble enough not to dis anybody.”
Rakim was NOT being PC. If he was, he would’ve just said “he’s dope. he’s doing his thing” and kept it moving but he DID NOT. WITHOUT being guided he went MUCH further than that. It just kills you inside that he’s respected by his peers and predecessors because you really want to believe that he ONLY gets props ’cause he’s white. You KNOW that’s bullshit and you die a little evertime it’s confirmed. To make you die a little more, if I recall the interview correctly, Ra wasn’t asked about Em, he was asked who he thought was ill and HE brought up Em. The interviewer was actually a white dude shitting on Em and trying his hardest to get Ra to do the same but he just wouldn’t. So no, Ra was not just being humble he was being real. Ra is not the entire hip hop culture but his sentiments in this case represents most of ours.
“Why does’nt Rakim gain the sales that EM get? You know why.”
Ra doesn’t get the sales Em gets for the same reason he doesn’t get the sales Jay Z gets. Trying to avoid that huh? You know full well about the politics in this game and almost everything EXCEPT for talent being a factor (race, image, money, gimicks, content… etc… etc…). He does get sales ’cause he’s white, he’s said that himself (you do the math, if I was black, I would’ve sold half. I didnt have to go to Lincoln high school to know that) but you KNOW that’s not the only reason….and again, you die a little.
“The culture i came up on was never of a rapper who constantly makes dick references, killing his mother references, his baby mom references, taking drugs and dissing Black women.”
Other than the “killing his mother part”, you are talking about ALOT of other rappers right? I noticed you mentioned Black women specifically… if you don’t care about all women, fuck you. Btw, you’re bullshitting yourself if you think rappers didn’t talk about this stuff. They did it differently and we had more of a variety of artists as to avoid that stuff easier, but it was there.
“I came up on the BRAND NUBIANS, MELLY MEL, KANE, RAKIM, P.E.,TUPAC. MY come up wasnt based on what alot of these rappers do now and brag about woman, clothes and money and i defintely didnt come up on what Em spits, i dislike artist such as WAYNE, DRAKE, NICKI, DAMN SO MANY TO MENTION.”
Who the fuck cares? You’re just telling me you’re a dinosaur. Evolve or die! I grew up on those same artists but I’m not going to dismiss every new one because god forbid, they try something different. I’m going to asses their talent… period. Btw, when the fuck did Grand Pubah NOT talking about hitting skins? STFU
I wont quote all the other bullshit, I’ll just do a quick rundown:
Is Em saying “hey, overlook these other rappers and only check me out”? You seem to be mad at the industry but the racist defect in your brain wants to zero in on Em. He doesn’t control how this shit works. But even if the industry worked properly, He’d STILL be in the forefront based on talent (again, you die a little). You can’t avoid that. Btw, you’re mentioning alot of older rappers. You do realize that this happens in all industries right? You have pioneers that break ground and everyone after them usually benefits more than them. Vanilla Ice is a perfect example of a white dude making it in rap stictly because he’s white. You think Vanilla Ice fell of ’cause he wasn’t keeping his skills sharp? LMAO. Stop it. You’re seriously gonna try to compare the 2 and expect me to take you seriously Bwahahahahah.
Btw, you’re full of shit with the foolish pride thing. I’m sure you’d be saying the same things about him no matter what. You’re just a racist that can’t stand to see a white dude excel in a black dominated art form. I’m sure you shitted on Larry Bird too. Fuck you and goodnight. Stay away from my culture please, you’re ruining it.

so im suppose to be forgiving like others and say that foolish pride was a mistake because it was recorded…fuck dat! i see no statue of limitations on that shit. you keep googling Rakim facts and thats hilarious, only because these statements are not in ya head. im glad you sticking up for this fag and your race. i know their are plenty of people like you who feel the same but understand i am 1 who doesnt. oh yeah im a dinosaur huh….lol yes i am cuz this new culture of bs music u sticking up for sucks and has no substance, just like your drug addicted favorite rapper.
you still fail to mention all the other great artist i mention, probaly cuz u only had time to google rakim and jigga. if eminem was black with the same skills he has now i bet he wouldnt make faggot references all the time, i bet he wouldnt talk killing or hating his mom all the time, killing his babymom all the fucking time, popping pills all the time. 50 dislikes his babymom but never said some the harsh shit Em says, why cuz thats whiteboy shit. dont u bring up all these rappers who talk that material shit cuz i told u i dont follow it. jayz i do and he has matured musically.
point blank i am a racist, a black racist. i was bought up on racism just like this american culture so dont act surprised that im 1 of these black dudes who hate em. racism still lives it will never die and you can blame your people for that. we have issues that will never be ironed out, justice that will never be served and rules that are truly meant to protect the white race (arizona). Martin luther was murdered less than 50 years ago, sean bell murdered a few years ago, diallo murdered a 10 years ago, slavery amongst blacks supposedly ended 100 years ago but you expect me not to be racist and harsh. im suppose to be forgiving, loving, trusting, warm, calm and peaceful?….FUCK RIGHT-NOT!
so yes the hatred towards eminem is deep rooted and any motherfucker who is once again ruling our culture and destroying our history needs to be dealt with just like your ancestors dealt with us africans. shit thats how you white people came to build this american government, thru MURDER AND BARBARIC INTELLIGENCE.

I’ll determine how I feel about them based on their talent period. Hip-Hop is in trouble because of a lack of balance, not because of a bunch of shitty rappers. We’ve always had shitty rappers but they weren’t the face of the culture as much as they are now. You have misguided and misdirected anger and therefore you cannot help this culture I love. You’re only a detriment to it. Please leave my culture, and if possible, my race while you’re at it.
Please don’t try to run down black history for me, I know it well. I know where our anger, animosty, resentment, paranoia, and fear comes from and why it’s still prevalent in some of us. That makes you no less of a piece of shit to me. Understanding black history is exactly why you’re a complete and total waste of life to me. My ancestors did not fight for you.
YOU’RE destroying my race and culture not Em. I’m not going to write another essay. I’m done with you. One day you’ll wake up an old man and realize you completely wasted your fucking life. Bye

Im black and youre just stupid. Racism doesnt get rid of racism and thats just common sense. There are more important things in this world to be mad about. If you dont like how americans treated black people, go back to africa and see how nice it is living there. Point is, get over it. Racism is stupid and Eminem is not the greatest rapper alive, everyone knows that. He is simply one of the most popular of them at the time. Leave the whiteys alone to their music and do you.

you see my name and you know what he was about being that you know your african history well and to mock me for skipping a “T” made you happy i made a incorrect error in my spelling, i guess we doing spellcheck….lmbao but damn homey if your truly black you have thrown me to the loop, dont get it twisted i still consider myself a proud racist but to be arguing with another blackman about why i have this anger is even more ridiculous…im clearly dumbfounded, WOW! You really sounded like an whitedude but i guess cause of your proper education i misjudge you. but you damn sure stood up for eminem, i love tormenting em fans just as much as em fans love tormenting jayz.
i wanna apologize but i feel it will be meaningless to you and kinda courney on my part. you called me crazy names dog, i dont even think i called you a name besides saying fuck crackers.
i mean wow on everything now, you made valid points and i have my reasons also but now…. well i guess this war of bullshit has ended. i cant argue with a black dude about the pain slavery has left on me.

As Ye would say “Stadium Status!” Well Done Em! This is more loose yourself and less We Made You, now take that lane and stay in it, and Recovery should be on Par with Em’s first 2 classics instead of his last 2 disasters.

I think Em stans are more dangerous than Jay stans, before anybody critiques his music they better move their family to a secure location in the Balkans.

I dislike eminem for several reasons. I don’t hate him. Not a hater… But, I do dislike his way of doing things. Hence, the reason I regret ever buying his album.
Vanilla Ice was called out for being fake. Eminem is the new VI. The cycle is completely the same. He is loved by white America, he will do and say anthing to sell records. His falling out is coming soon. Why?
A. Tea Bagging to get ratings
B. Sucking corporate C++K
C. Picking on Women (ALL THE TIME!) In fact, a lot of credible rappers called him out. He never said anything. Also, lets metion the fact that a lot of rappers are afraid to call him out, because they don’t want to lose their “white” fans.
D. If you don’t support him, people label you as racist. It stupid because black people have been co-signing white rappers WWWWWWWAAAAAAY before eminem.(Mc Serch, anyone? and there are a lot more)
F. He is a gimmick. All of his murder and rape raps never happened. At least most credible “gangsta rappers” have experienced the life they talk about.
G. He is NOT better because he is not street. A lot of people criticize other rappers, saying that they sing about gangster life and b*tches. DUDE, EMINEM has said thiing muuuuuuuch worse than any gangsta rapper has. They including raping family members, his wife and picking on weak celebs. At least guys like scarface, nas and Kool G have respect. They are explicit and talk about killing, but even they have their limits.
H. BLACK PEOPLE HAVE NOT COLLECTIVELY CO-SIGNED EMINEM. Yes, black people know he can rap. Black people know he sells. But, I will be damned if most black people like that @sshat. Why? Not, because of race. But, because he has made the culture de-evolve. Blacks used to fight for intellectual and credible images in rap. To have a guy talkin about murdering and raping girls, beefing with women, disrespects the whole culture. I dont care what the reasons are… If he was doing this in the early 90’s, Wu Tang, Kool G, The Kane and many other would have ripped him a new @sshole. But, thats where the game is now. Too many rappers afraid of losing stacks, so they don’t call out the punk.
Another reason why most black people don’t like eminem is because of his abilities. Frankly, they are good. Damned good, but nothing we haven’t seen before. Especially, his “amazing” flow came from a lot of other people. Kool G, Proof and many others included. He doesn’t deserve the title of best alive.
Album sales don’t make you the best alive. Q-tip’s renaissance is a way better album than relapse. However, it only sold 100,000 copies. While people swore relapse was the second coming. If album sales are a determiner of greatness, well Vanilla ice was the first white rapper to go diamond. Where is he now?
If none of you believe me, go to the grimey part of NYC and Chicago and ask black people if they want to bump Eminem in their car. They will laugh at you.
Again, the reason why “some” black people co-sign Em, is because of his skill level or they are afraid to be called racist. But, that doesn’t mean people respect him. I sure as hell don’t and the people on my block don’t also.
I just find it funny, that people can be so retarded to think that Eminem was the first or first good, white rapper. In reality, this is only shows how much people don’t know about the culture. There have been a LOT of amazing white rappers that are respected by the best and don’t degrade themselves the way Eminem does.
Period.

THAT IS A GOOD REASON, MATTAFACT A VERY FEW GOOD REASONS AS TO WHY I DISLIKE EMINEM ALSO. HE IS A GOOD RAPPER, TRUE. BUT WHEN MAJORITY OF THE PUBLIC PUTS HIM OVER THE GREATS SUCH AS KANE, RAKIM, KOOL G, BIG, TUPAC, JAYZ AND MANY OTHERS I GET RACIST AND I CANT HELP IT.
JUST LIKE I DISLIKE ELVIS CUZ THEY PUT HIM OVER GREATS AND CALLED HIM THE CREATOR OR THE TRUE INVENTOR OF ROCK N ROLL WHEN WE KNOW THATS UNTRUE.
OVERALL THIS WAS A GOOD COMMENT AND IM GLAD YOU THOUGHT IT OUT WITH INTELLIGENCE. IF YOU READ MY COMMENTS I CANT HELP BUT COMMENT WITH ANGER, BITTERNESS AND RACIAL HATRED AND SOMEWHAT VERY UNAPOLOGETIC BOUT THE ENTIRE MATTER.
