Really a good job of Nicki doing it Foxy style, no real reason for beef though, it’s obvious Foxy and Kim influenced Nicki style all around. Throw in that weird word association rap thing Wayne does and some strange voice inflections and you’ve got a Minaj. I like the Remix and Joell what is there that can be said that hasn’t that dude is so hard so New York so great I just hope his success matches his talent.

Its funny how you can pick apart the rhyme styles of many of todays artists.
Today it’s like “ok I’m take 45% of his style, 45% of his style and a 10% dash of something thats mine and poof thats my style now.
I mean Nicki was like in middle school or high school when Foxy and Kim were really doing their thing so the influence is understandable….its just so damn blatant though.

I hear ya. It’s really hard for music artist or all artist in general to separate themselves from there influences you can go to nearly every great and see things they’ve taken from the past. Like Nas said “No Idea’s Original” however those truly unique artist esp in this copy cat climate of music today, truly stand out. I just wish the masses would appreciate them for there individuality. Now Nicki is def the sum of her parts & as you said with a slight dash of Nicki mixed in there. I’m curious to see her her style will be able to carry and entire album by herself and stand the test of time over multiple albums.

Its like that Eminem. He has stated before that Kool G Rap andn Pun were major influences on him and he can hear that in his flow BUT not to the point that you question his authenticity.
We got Nicki vids from 16 months ago of her on her hardcore Lewinsky flow b4 the Young Money/Barbi makeover. When I 1st heard drake I couldnt tell if I was hearing Wayne with a new flow or Kanye.

maybe the foxy influence (n thats just on this particular song)…but i dont even fully prescribe to that notion either! i mean she’s west indian to so its not like she’s fraudin! (ie Lady of Rage saying “wit dat beeg battygyal datz kickin it” on Afro Puffs lmao) by the way always wondered when I was young’n, was Rage coming out the closet on her FIRST single or was she just talkin out her ass n not knowing what that word meant — if so LMFAO @ the fail a decade plus later!!!
but yea back to the subject…n far as Kim! I DONT SEE IT MAN (you know, the so-called “similarities” in her n Nikki’s flows???)! WHAT IS ANYONE WHO BRINGS THAT UP TALKING ABOUT! for instance on MTV Jams 2 days ago, they played Massive Attack (jam of the week) n like the vid after that played Junior Mafia Playaz Anthem! I REPEAT!, I DID NOT SEE ANY LIKENESS OF THE 2 FEMALES FLOWS! NOTHING on Hardcore reminds me of Nikki’s shit! If its the content, give her a break! she just so happens to be a freak with a fat pus$y, who likes bragging about her sex game to, so what! how many male rappers have the SAME content year after year? Yaw losing me…or losing IT! either one!

I swear Kanye did that word association shit before Wayne did… but Wayne did it more than Ye. Maybe I’m buggin but everytime I hear credit go to Weezy.. I think Ye’?
