New Music: Drake “Scriptures” x “Runaway Girl” x “Play Ball” x “Hurt”

Mikey: Now, I can’t say I’m the biggest Drake fan, but I can’t deny his musical abilities or star qualities. Fortunately, for real Drizzy fans Sermon’s Domain got their hands on a few leaks from his upcoming HeartBreak Drake Pt. 3 (The First Semester) mixtape. I’m hearing ”Scriptures” is recycled, but “Runaway Girl”, “Hurt”, and “Play Ball” are all brand new, but word is that Diddy is snatching “Hurt” for his Last Train to Paris album and Baby’s taking “Play Ball” for whatever album Wayne’s writing for him. We’ll see…

Songs in order order of submitted:
1st track, the verses was on the “beautiful music” beat, which i think it sounds better on, da rhymes dont fit in this beat as well as the previous ones. Its still a good beat just other or new material should be put on it.
2nd track, this song has potential of being a great song if more “it” is put into it (if you know what i mean).
3rd track, a group of nobodies went on da beat with drake’s verse, ‘nd the souljah boy went on it ‘nd pu in his latest mixtape.
4th track, the hurt song is tump’n, drake went in “you stand out i can hear you whistle in a choir”.

I think those group of nobodies did a better job then Birdman or Soulja Boy. Although SBeezy did kill Drake on his version
Hold up, is that Diddy singing? God damn, technology is capable of alot these days

I’VE NEVER MET ANYONE WHO LIKES DRAKE AS A RAPPER, AS A WRITER HIS LYRICS SOUND GREAT COMING OUT OF OTHERS MOUTHS. HE SOUNDS HORRIBLE AND I HOPE UNIVERSAL WOULD STOP THE CHECK WRITING TO EVERYONE FROM RADIO PERSONALITIES TO BLOGGERS. THERE IS NOTHING HOT ABOUT DRAKE NOTHING, HIS VOICE IS HORRIBLE WHY WOULD YOU(PEOPLE ABOVE ME) SUPPORT THIS KID. I DONT HATE ON ANYBODY GETTING MONEY BUT THIS KID SHOULD STAY BEHIND THE SCENES GETTING THAT QUIET MONEY. ALSO THERE ARE 2 THINGS THAT ARE GONNA HAPPEN WITH THIS KID 1. UNIVERSAL WONT DROP HIS ALBUM 2. UNIVERSAL WILL USE HIM AS THE BLUEPRINT TO THE DESTRUCTION OF HIPHOP. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN, IT IS NOT DRAKES FAULT UNIVERSAL USED HIM TO ACCOMPLISH THIS DEVIANT SCHEME, BUT LET ME EXPLAIN HOW THEY WILL DRIVE HIPHOP UNDERGROUND. DRAKE WILL BE THE BLUEPRINT TO THE ABOLISHMENT OF HIPHOP BECAUSE HE WILL BE THE LAST STRAW PER-SE, AFTER HIS ALBUM FLOPS UNIVERSAL RECORDS WILL SAY “LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY WE SPENT ON PROMOTING THIS KID AND HE COULDNT EVEN PRODUCE RECOUPING NUMBERS” UNIVERSAL BEING THE HNIC OF THE RIAA WILL SET FORTH THE BLUEPRINT TO EVERY
MAJOR DISTRIBUTOR TO NEVER INVEST THEIR MONEY INTO NEW HIPHOP ACTS BECAUSE AS YOU CAN SEE DRAKE DIDNT EVEN SELL. SO WHAT DOES THIS DO TO HIPHOP IT MAKES IT EVEN HARDER FOR UP AND COMERS TO GET A FOOT IN THE DOOR, ARTIST WILL NEED TO PROMOTE THEMSELVES WITH THEIR OWN MONEY JUST LIKE THEY DO NOW AND SINCE RADIO SPINS WITH LOCAL DJ’S, POPULAR HIPHOP WEBSITES AND MIXTAPE SLOTS COST ALOT OF MONEY MEANING $300-$1000 FOR A SLOT OR A SPIN, KIDSW NOWADAYS DONT HAVE THAT TYPE OF MONEY UNLESS THEY’RE REALLY GRINDING AND I MEAN REALLY GRINDING AND IF THEY DO PAY FOR THE SLOT HOW LONG DO THEY HAVE TO KEEP THIS UP FOR. DECENT PROMOTION IN NYC CAN RUN FROM $3000-$5000 A MONTH SO BASICALLY $50,000+ A YEAR TO GET A DECENT BUZZ GOING AND THATS IF AN ARTIST IS GOOD. IF THE ARTIST IS GOOD THAN PEOPLE WILL THEN START TO CHECK FOR THEM. BUT SINCE REAL HIPHOP WILL BE ELIMINATED FROM COMMERCIAL RADIO(EXCEPT FOR BIG HIPHOP NAMES). THANX TO SATELLITE RADIO HIPHOP WILL SURVIVE ON THAT BUT DATELLITE NEEDS TO DROP THEIR PRICES BECAUSE PEOPLE NEED TO BUY EQUIPMENT AND SUBSCRIPTIONS AND IT BECOMES EXPENSIVE FOR THE EVEYDAY BLUE COLLAR MAN/WOMAN. SO TO CONCLUDE MY ONGOING CONCLAVADE OF THOUGHTS I WILL END BY SAYING IN THE NEXT 2 YEARS HOT 97(EMISS COMMUNICATION) 105.1(CLEAR CHANNEL) WILL BE PLAYING DISNEY TYPE HIPHOP AND REAL R&B ONLY, IF YOU THINK IM BUGGING JUST LOOK UP MILEY CYRUS TO WORK ON A HIPHOP ALBUM. THIS IS YOUR BOY REAL TALK

What you are saying is totally wrong, half of what you said was proven wrong, because the mixtape that he gave for free earlier in the yr, is a top seller now, so you lost on that one. Secondly if your talking bout Drake taking the spot of someone that you consider “a real hip-hop artist” then your wrong as well. Maybe that’s not what everyone wants to here, not everyone lived the same lifestyle. How could you expect, or even respect someone who embraces something that they know nothing about. Different forms of rap are esoteric, that’s why when I was younger I could not grasp what Jay-Z was talking about in his music, nor did I understand Cam’ron, but when I grew up i understood, because it was apart of my environment, so i understood it. The same thing you were saying about how real artist with talent have to pay for slots, nd so forth, Drake was putting out his music on his own, he didn’t have a label before the one with Young Money, nd if an artis has to pay for a slot on the radio nd it doesn’t workout well, maybe the radio is not the best idea, maybe they should try nd get their recognition through open house performances. But before you argue make sure you do the research, because research keeps people from looking stupid, as well as learning something new, because the more you speak with ignorance, the more room for mistakes.
