DJ Khaled’s been promoting his upcoming album due this summer, Kiss the Ring. Finally we get the music to back up the talk as Hot 97′s Funkmaster Flex blasts off the first single featuring a star-studded lineup which includes Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and Lil’ Wayne. Update: Shortly after Flex dropped this, Mikey was stopped by a 62-year-old New York resident who wanted a closer listen to the track. This lunatic, Mr. Fresh, was playing the song loudly from his iphone while standing in line at a local store. smh! haha

The songs nice. Verses are real chill and the hook is a winner already. Wayne’s verse may have been a bit too laid back.
Overall Khaled has a good single on his hands, a win for Khaled and a win for YMCMB.
People always ask what Khaled does…. Does that really matter? He puts out undeniable hits, nothing else matters.

What are you impressed about? Khaled has Wayne and Ross on almost his records, esp. first singles. This just “I’m On One” but Drake’s hook’s replaced with Chris and his verse is replaced by Nicki. Or the same with “Welcome to my Hood” just take out T-Pain and Plies. I’m not knocking Khaled success but lets not act like musically he’s breaking new ground.
