Miss Info: First off…YAY! I’ve been waiting for this mixtape! In fact, we were the first to tell you bout this hybrid back when. And I loved the 80’s-ish soft-pop-feel of that first leak “Dangers Not a Stranger.” I know, some trap-purists (how ironic) will be like, huh? And meanwhile, the hipster horde will be like, grrr! But I say, get the dead person out your ass. Why can’t one of the biggest neo-techno (?) dance producer-DJs and one of the biggest hood-rap icons blend together into a happy mash-up? So….Mikey, why “Not Good For Hip Hop”? I’m adding yes, “Good For Hip Hop” : )
PS: yes, I agree with reader GoldChain who said the artwork is very R.Crumb-ish, love that style. Its like R.Crumb x the Wall Street Journal portraits, LOL.
Mikey: That was totally accidental !!! Gucci and Diplo are good for everybody, blame my clumsy fingers for that one. Our “new music” and “not good for hip hop” categories are right above each other, and I carelessly checked the wrong box, didn’t mean to diss anyone.
MissInfo: well, I figured thats what had happened. I’ve done it too. but for the record, if you really didn’t think it was good for hiphop, that would be your opinion, which you’d have a right to.

I’m real glad diplo made somethin like this. I dig his style and I’m actually sick of all the Gucci/Zaytovan style joints, so this is..dare i say…refreshing. This should get club play, but it prolly wont…cats’ll sleep..

i find guccis lyrics a bit tedious, but u cant fault the winning combination of diplo production and gucci. this mixtape is BRILLIANT that mumdance mix is immence.

Gucci, I can guarantee you he will like this a lot, this shit is fucking like something I have never heard and I like it a lot. My girl likes Gucci sometimes, but when I play this in the car she will be like “Oh Shit, this is the shit,” and I will be like, “yeah no shit.”
