New Music: Cormega: “Journey (Revelations Remix)”
The original has been out for some time now, but I can’t lie this new remix had me lost for the last 45 mintues. I think I brought it back like 6 times. It’s records like this that throw you back in time and conjure the most vivid memories of childhood friends and wild ass teenage adventures.
Even though, Mega and I shared way different upbringings, the aura that the song creates makes it relatable. Remember the first time you heard The Realness? I honestly forgot Nas even existed for a few months. (Brought it back 10 times by the end of this post)
**Update** Nation has some info on a Coast drive/show Mega is doing with NY boutique Coat of Arms

@ Mikey Fresh
I know how you feel.
I found myself running this song back about 5-6 times. I like how it breathes without having a hook. You just vibe with it better.A 90’s feel in 2011. Make you feel all nostalgic-like.
(Brought it back like 12 times before the end of this post.)

man, The Realness has got to be the most underrated album of all time.

this song is whatever in my opinion.
Mikey Fresh, I know exactly what you mean. It’s that vibe when I listen to “Glory Days”, which remains my favorite Mega track by far.
Mega is kind of like an East Coast Pac. Except where Pac could sell a variety of emotions (anger, lust, camaraderie), Cormega only sells nostalgia, particularly of the camaraderie-of-yesteryear type.

Mega is one of the best to ever do it. Music with substance and authenticity is hard to find these days. I seen some YouTube of his live show with the band and it way better than the typical rap concert.

The next time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this 1. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I really thought youd have something interesting to say. All I hear is really a bunch of whining about something that you could fix in case you werent too busy seeking attention.
