New Music: Big Boi feat. Andre 3000 & Sleepy Brown “Lookin’ For Ya” (Jedi Remix) plus John Legend & The Roots, Maino, Joell Ortiz and more…
Posted by Mr.North under new music[5] Comments
This dropped back in June but with one verse each from Big Boi & Andre 3000, now the full/cdq version dubbed the Jedi Remix features 2 new verses from both over Boi-1da’s production. This was suppose to be on Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty LP (in stores and online now) but label politics held it from making the album.
Big Boi also mentions to MTV that Andre 3000 is currently back in the studio working on new music.

New Music: John Legend & The Roots – “Shine” & “Hard Times” (feat. Black Thought)
Here’s the second single from the collab album Wake Up! that drops September 21st called “Shine” while “Hard Times” which samples Baby Huey’s “Hard Times from “The Baby Huey Story: The Living Legend”. Props to TCC & Perajok via Nation/NahRight and ItsTheCalm for the Hip Hip lesson.
New Music: Joell Ortiz – “Battle Cry” (Prod. By The Audible Doctor) & “Ask Me Bout Brooklyn” (with Maino)
Joell Ortiz is set to drop an EP called Farewell Summer that will be dropping on Friday and this is the first leak from the project called “Battle Cry”, while Maino gets Joell to jump on “Ask About Me Brooklyn” a new cut from Maino & DJ Drama’s Art Of War Mixtape. (Props to Nation/NahRight & OnSMASH)
New Music: Rick Ross – “Holding You Down” Freestyle
Rozay releases a new verse through Twitter, this time over Jazmine Sullivan’s latest single. As Splash would say tacking on one verse to a song isn’t a remix in 2010 so it’s a freestyle.
New Music: Nipsey Hussle – “Monster” Freestyle
Nipsey Hussle announced a new date (Dec 21st) for his debut LP South Central State Of Mind and here he releases a new freestyle via Twitter over Kanye & Hov’s latest gem.
New Music: Young Dro feat. Rick Ross, Yung L.A., Gucci Mane & T.I. – “Freeze” (Remix) [Tags]
A new verse from Yung L.A. and Rick Ross’ freestyle verse gets added to the mix for the now official remix to Young Dro’s new track off DJ Smallz’ I Got The Internet Goin Nuts! Vol. 2 that drops later this week. (Props to Nation/NahRight)

today was a BIG day man, 6 pure FIRE tracks!
Big Boi & 3000 brought the soul/funk back – looking forward to them droppin their new album soon.
Roots & Legend – just the most killer combo and as always, bringing something fresh, something real, something without the ‘plastic packaging’ – FIRE…
& that first Ortiz track was pure head bumpin’
already in love with Jaz Sullivans voice and that track is straight CRACK – and Im not hating Ross’ opening verse…
I guess, today was a good day…

The saddest part is the “people” are more worried about a MC and Journalist VS. a coked-out shitty, rapper who cant get off the Ipad. Not you Soso, your smart. Thank GOD and BROOKLYN for Joell Ortiz
