I’m starting to like B.o.B. He’s just about good hip hop. Putting Hayley Williams on is genius…gives the chorus more of an edge than if he had used some generic R&B chick.

Em just spits passion in his verses, case in point this song. Just listen to how the track builds to him its like the climax of a movie, its always the best part. People listen to raw emotion, look at all the influences in culture throughout time. They grabbed your attention with the raw emotion in their voice. When Em goes off on tracks like this, it truly is special. GOAT

I think B.o.B is cool. But is he really a Hip-Hop artist? I saw him perform at The Fillmore and his music was definitely not Hip-Hop. Well, most of it wasn’t. He does perform with alot of passion. You can tell he loves what he does!

I think as the genre has grown so has the definition of what exactly defines a “hip hop artist”. I mean clearly it isn’t traditional a la Rakim, KRS One, Jay Z etc but the lyrical content is there. He’s more “alternative hip hop” if there is such a category and thats where you would have the Outkasts, Goodie Mob, BOB, Cudi etc…
Personally I like how he blends all types of music together its definately a nice alternative to the rest of the mainstream garb we’re being forced feed. But hey that’s just my opinion.

He is barely on anyones album. He did a joke with Drake, did a joint with Wayne for that album, on this joint, which he has said a while ago that BOB was one of his favorite new guys out.
