I find it harder and harder to come across new R&B songs that I won’t forget about after 24 hours. But Ameriie’s latest number has me hitting repeat for like the 5th time now. Now, I know it’s not groundbreaking or a game changer, but it has that midtempo R&B feel with a hip-hopish beat. These are the kinds of joints I crave at this time of year. Jazmine Sullivan’s “Holding You Down (Remix)” with Mary and Swizz is the kind of music I’m talking about.
Ameriie is currently working on a new project, titled The Prelude.
Listen to “Every Time” after the jump…

Amerrie came out in 2002 before Beyonce became a solo artist. Keri came out in 2009, Ciara came out in 2004, and Rihanna came out 2005. So what exactly is the time that you think Amerrie should have come out? All of these women may not have had the same level of success however they all have had hits. Like the rest of the world the music industry is diverse and not every artist is meant to have the same level of success. They all aren’t even the same type of artist. The only thing that each have in common is that they’re black women who are in the music industry.

Another one for the R&B Hardknock, she can host a tape and have her joints on it, every album, she gives one or two Hardknock R&B joints #teamhardknock
