this song is off the upcoming soundtrack for “Notorious.” A good friend saw an advance screening and said, not only did he/she tear up at the end, but that Gravy put forth a really good performance. I hope so.
Jay-Z “Go Hard,” featuring Santogold
(thanks to Legend and Lowkey for sending me the link….I’m still on my offline time, finishing Gears, lol, on “casual. But I’m glad I checked the email for this one.)

nothing special and just plain regular, as Jay has been for the last couple of years…and not a big fan of brooklyn songs, it like okay already…in a couple of years he’ll be making westchester songs

“brooklyn we go hard” should be the hook only
it becomes annoying after awhile

The production on this song is good as well as the hook. I am sure if someone else gets on the track they will kill it.
It annoys me when Jayz gets on a track and does that lazy boy flow. You know the one where he’s just trying to prove how nice he is and that he really doesn’t have to do this anymore. He needs to retire we have heard it all hov. There is really nothing you can say unless you make a song called BK and rap about Beyonce…Then again nah. Just retire please!

@GenoBaby
…the beat is hardbody but you cant tell me that flow is on point, shit just doesnt sound right, because he has one or two bars that are hot doesnt make the whole track a banger….O’boy needs to pick up the pen ’cause O’boy just aint pulling it off with the freestyle anymore…you cannot seriously believe that this is acceptable material from one of hip-hop’s greats…Jay been buns for a while (all his material after the black album)

O’boy? wtf
Santi is a space invader who lives in gentrified Brooklyn. How is she making a song called “Brooklyn We Go Hard?” I’m feeling her shit, but this is a gay move. She’s a minority and from a major city herself, so this only gets a 1 out of 5 on the “Bronx-Mowgli-Wentz Culture Vulture Meter.”

Again i find it funny how a Camron post/song gets at least 80 responses and a “heavyweight” in the game like Hov gets 18. Such a mystery. We waiting on that crime pays bro. And this song is not garbage but its not that great either. Its just a Jay-Z song pretty much.

@C RANX… talk when jay gets on an em track and outshines him. all i’m saying is old jay is better than new jay, and the newer it gets the more i miss the old. It comes a time when u lift the jersey to the rafters and sit back and enjoy the game, and if you still got the love in you, you help out the home team get back to its prominences, instead of destroy and marginalize like jay has with new nyc rappers.
@ #18. jay no longer carries ny, cam’ron is pretty much the only link to the best years in hip-hop (90’s) that still gives you that feeling that ny is and will always be on top
