Carmelo Anthony on His Kevin Garnett Beef: “There’s Certain Things You Just Don’t Say to Another Man”

Following last night’s heated on-court feud between Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett, which continued after the game, the Knicks star explained his actions in a new interview. As you know, Melo decided to try and confront KG after the game. Cameras caught him waiting by the Celtics bus and screaming near their locker room at The Garden. The rumor mill continues to say KG, a known trash talker, said some extremely nasty things about Melo’s wife LaLa. However, Anthony didn’t get into specifics but claims he just wanted to talk to KG, but “lost his cool” in the process.
“There’s certain things that you just don’t say to men, another man,” Anthony said. “I felt like we crossed a line, but like I said, we both had an understanding right now, we handled it the way we handled it. Nobody needs to know what was said behind closed doors, so that situation was handled.”
“It’s over with for me. Whatever happened last night, happened. The words that was being said between me and Garnett, it happened, can’t take that away,” Anthony said. “I lost my cool yesterday, I accept that, but there’s just certain things that push certain people’s buttons.”

“Nothing happened for me to be suspended,” Anthony said. “I wanted to talk to KG. I think it was something we both needed to get off our chest and see what really the problem was. No altercations, it was just some words and a conversation that we needed to have.”
“We’ve sat down and we’ve talked about it,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “Listen, Melo’s been playing at a high level and Melo likes winning. He’s tasted that here and he’s a big part of why we’re winning and hey, he just can’t have slippage like that.”

yea man — they handled it like men! and im sure KG put the word to Melo and asked him not to snitch like Villenueva did 2 yrs ago! what KG said about Charlie was wrong but, he Charlie should’ve known the code and not aired out what is said on the court between players to the public! Im sure these 2 said some pretty crazy things to each other about each others women, kids, etc but definitely glad its settled!
