Following in the footsteps of close friend Lil’ Uzi Vert, NAV ‘retired’ from music. Frustrated with his holdout, NAV’s manager Amir “Cash” Esmailian decides to put out a collection of unreleased records. “I’m tired of hunting for @nav hard drive and waiting for him to come out of retirement! So here’s some songs I had on my phone that aren’t on his album 🤷🏽‍♂️ enjoy!,” said the XO CEO/manager. Brown Boy is a four-track EP, featuring an appearance by Lil’ Durk on “OK.” Shortly after the EP’s release and with some urging from Uzi, NAV returned to social media announcing his plans to drop a new album next week.
