Nas to Kelis: Right Back At’cha

TMZ reports:
“Nas, one of the biggest and richest rappers around, does not want to pay his estranged, pregnant wife, Kelis, a penny in spousal support.
Kelis filed for divorce April 30. She’s weeks from giving birth and unable to work, but no matter to Nas — he’s filed his response to the divorce, asking the judge to deny her the spousal support she’s seeking. For bad measure, he also wants her to pay her own lawyer’s fees.
Nas and Kelis both want joint custody of their unborn child.
Kelis cites “irreconcilable differences” for the divorce, but we’re told she believes he was cheating on her and that’s what buzz-killed the marriage.”

What a sad way to be preparing for your first child. From what I’ve heard it has nothing to do with that rumor at all. People believing that story is crazy to me, especially with Wendy Williams being the source lol. She’s gonna get support. I think his lawyer is just trying to control the negotiations. Nas can potntially be broke after this. His lawyers trying to make sure he gets paid.

On the contrary to Mplscutiepie, when it comes to those who just “rap” not your Jay-z’s or Puffy’s…. Nas is one of the richest. But not up there with those cats.
But still, I hate seeing marriage’s fail. It just seems like people just don’t know how to be committed.

Wait. If multiple people have seen it wouldn’t that mean it’s already “leaked”? which also means theres more than one copy, but yet and still no one has it? hmmmmm interesting.

I like Kelis, but I got to stick up for Nas. If he walks away the “victor” because divorces are damn near the same as boxing matches i.e Shaniqua Vs Curtis Jackson.
That Russian Billionaire Roman Abromavich who payed his wife like $300 million which would have been $5.5 Billion dollars had he hired some bum ass lawyers. Still $300 mill is a lot to walk away with.
All i’m sayin is i’m rooting for NAS, this type of situations only set the right precedent. No payment of legal fees, no half half split of assets e.t.c matter fact when I get married and she leaves she’s leaving with her clothes, shoes e.t.c for real, word is bomb!
I’m still undecided on the jewellry, might want to recycle them into the new relationship.

I’m saying both may have cheated, so lets take that out.
Now does she have the the funds to support her and the child (1/2 the time) until she can work (whens teh last time she did anything?) again? if so, no you get nothing
write music, your body can;t be the moneymaker after the kid, is that Nas’ fault nah, its both you’re responsibilities. Do appearences, do some hooks, even a couple songs willg et you plenty.

1 For the most part, the losing party in a divorce suit pays the lawyers fees for both parties.
2 Kelis’ career has not had the impact it could have had if the music had not been mishandled or under-promoted. Meaning she migh not have made the money we expect her to have.
3 Nas is being immature if this is because of a sex tape made before their relationship began. If one of the rappers from Philly’s Most Wanted was bussin’ it down and taped it let it be.
4 Dual-Celebrity relationships are not for everybody. If Jay let rumors of Wyclef smashing Beyonce get to him they wouldn’t have lasted this long either.
