Posted by Mr.North under new music[30] Comments
Fresh off giving us “Nasty,” Nas and Rick Ross join forces on “It’s A Tower Heist.” While Flex notes this as a single, fans can expect this on The Tower Heist Original Motion Picture Soundtrack in support of the film starring Ben Stiller and Eddie Murphy.

I know its obviously just a single for a movie soundtrack, but this one is kind of disappointing considering the star power.

Hip hop fans are becoming ridiculous with their expectations. A movie scoring song is to depict the movie and Nas did that very well I might add. I understand why some hip hop artists cater to different audiences and try different genres because everything they do has to be over analyzed to death by hip hop fans.

Was surprised Nas would co-sign Ricky, but then again Nas aka Esco was the fakest coke rapper of the 90s and now officer Ricky is the fakest coke rapper currently. So it makes sense.
Track itself is disappointing and forgettable.

what co-sign? Do you hip hop fans read or just hate all the time? This song will NOT be forgettable to Nas and Ross or the movie they are getting paid to score it in “Tower Hiest.”

MAN , IM A NAS FAN SINCE ILLMATIC. AND WHEN HE DROPPED THE SONG ”’NASTY” AND VIDEO , I WAS GOING TO SUPPORT MY DUDE AGAIN. On ”nasty” he rapping about how the rap game got all these fake ni33as and so on. But how the f#%k now he co-signing with with ross, who’s proven to be a fraud. Got real disapointed in nas, and f#%KING FLEX ON THE RADIO TOO, CO-SIGNING THIS FAKE ASS ROSS. Im from NYC. bUT I’M THROUGH WITH NEW YORK NI33AS(RAPPERS) CLAIMING TO BE RIGTHEOUS FOR THE CULTURE AND ACTING LIKE NEW YORK DONS. But are also suckas ,like down south rappers hurting the game. To me the last reak ni33a to do it out of NY WAS 50. And Im not even a fan like that.

U can swear on MissInfo.tv, Ned Flanders…whats good with all the editing? NI33AS though?… PS i think every1′s overreacting over a movie soundtrack song, especially between 2 artists who’ve already worked with each other! Once some real niggas like D Block worked with Ross, I threw up my hands & said hey fuck it…if they can get past it (him being exposed)…then I can!

I don’t think Nas needs fans like you at all. Nas seems to be way to advaced and mature for someone who thinks as simple as you do. Nas is better off without your support IMO!

Damn can a brother eat. Someone come at you with a check for one song on a movie soundtrack and tell you Ross is gonna be one…..sooooo youre saying you would be like “Nah I have to keep it real for the streets”….uuuhhh ok. Man after the way the divorce tapped on his pockets I would be looking to recoup all money from all sources. If you a real fan of Nas you ride with him and hope like always that his album has topnotch production with some bangers on it. See for years my problem with Nas has only been the production. Like these days I wish he would work with Just Blaze or The J.U.S.T.I.C.E League. I respect freedom of opinion but some of the shit some of yall say is really uneducated

Nas has evolved as an artists it is about time you try doing the same as a fan. You are stuck in 1994 and Nas has gone on to have several platinum and gold albums. Emmy Award winner and has accomplished and achieved more in life since the release of Illmatic.

Sometimes I feel that Nas is the only rapper held to all these “high standards and rules” it’s like he can’t ever step outside of the box folks have put him in. Everybody else can work w/who they want, crossover, rep a coke dealer etc but if Nasir Olu Dara Jones thinks about doing such hell is going to freeze over …*sighs*
All this shade over a sdtrk song cause Rick is on it as if Rick Ross is the first and only fraud in hip hop what does that have to do w/his music being good or bad smh
