In support of his last album NASIR, Nas released a short-film of the same name last year. The captivating 16-minute visual was soundtracked by the Kanye West-produced project, touching on various subjects such as ancient African history and struggles African Americans face today. The iconic MC now returns with the stand-alone music video for “Cops Shot the Kid,” which was originally part of the film. Featuring a cameo from Slick Rick, the video focuses a young man who deals with injustice in his life. From racial profiling to police brutality, watch the young man’s journey below.
