Musical Chairs: DJ Khaled falls out with Weezy, slides in Jeezy

Well, if you learn anything from hip hop, its that friendships are fleeting. How many times have we seen Lil Wayne grinning and gripping with DJ Khaled on tv, in Ozone, on youtube? (I’m asking because I actually have no idea….sometimes I tune out posse cuts and songs with unnecessary yelling.)
So, what exactly is happening in this photo taken from the set of the “Out Here Grinding” video? The DJ Khaled song, featured Akon, Rick Ross, Plies, Trick Daddy, Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne and Ace Hood. But that is a Lil Wayne lookalike, and now there’s a new version of the song where Lil Wayne is replaced by Young Jeezy…..hmmmm.
Click more for details…
The day after Summerjam, DJ Khaled shot the video for his latest mega-collabo out in Brooklyn. The folks at Street Knowledge TV shot footage of the video set here and here.
But while everyone with a neck tattoo or a sham romance to promote showed up to the shoot to get some cameratime with Khaled, Lil Wayne was already on a plane down South. Apparently he was due on set for that Forrest Whitaker movie. Did Khaled’s video crew know this? As you see, Weezy’s name was still tentative on the shoot schedule. But this Weezy-lookalike (NJ promoter Var of Kamakazii Entertainment) was recruited backstage at Summerjam to be a “stunt double” for the dread-headed rapper. Were his scenes being shot as a supplement or….as a total replacement for Wayne’s no-show? (Meanwhile, on the shot-list below, Jeezy was also scheduled to be in this video. Was that before his new verse was added?)
Insiders say that when Weezy found out about the stand-in, he blew up, and voila…now we have a new version of the song sans Weezy and instead with Jeezy. Will it make any difference on the song? Doubtful. There’s already 6 other people on there. The song will still bang in the clubs (and probably only 2 out of 6 verses at a time). The larger issue is…is the whole Weezy-Khaled friendship a wrap because of a scheduling conflict?
Ah, the rap game is a “fickle bitch.” (c) Ben Linus

“Out Here Grinding” (NEW VERSION) DJ Khaled feat. Akon, Rick Ross, Plies, Trick Daddy, Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne… Young Wayne… Lil Jeezy…Young Jeezy and Ace Hood. (thanks to Mr. Xclusives)
This whole thing = multi-culti Laguna Beach. Also, in hindsight, I’m clearly devoting way too much energy to this. But its 7am, and I just had an large coffee.

I can’t remember the last video I enjoyed with a stand-in for the actual artist. They all came off lame.

Miss Info, real talk, no disrespect but it seems that you been jumping the gun way too many times ever since that Dipset breakup fiasco.
I don’t even post on here but I just gotta put my 2 cents in, that it looks like you spread more rumors rather than shedding light on them.
How does this mean the end of Khaled/Wayne relationship? Because of a scheduling conflict? C’mon man, these nigga’s rich

Yo Info, what’s good? I’m down in VA and Khaled was on one of the radio stations down here and he said this supposed beef between him and Weezy is all rumors. So there’s nothing to worry about. Can I get that “A Milli(on sold)” now?

Whats up Miss Info? I think you got this all twisted. I heard Young Jeezy was replacing Plies in the video so they made another version of the song cutting out Plies w/ Jeez. Lil Wayne’s part of the song might still be in the video even tho hes a no show with the stunt double and all… Peace

It’s in the first video that you linked. Trick Daddy is in front of it. It’s a little strange since Trick Daddy did a photo shoot at my house once a few years back. I think he’s stalking me.

Jeezy replaces Plies in the video.. Wayne had a body double. Khaled made a joke on the phone allegedly about doing so and Wayne got pissed off about it not taking it in a joking matter. They’ve since squashed the beef although Wayne isnt in the video lol.
