MTV Movie Awards recap: Maybe Eminem has the slowest reflexes on earth….not

Yes, I found myself watching the MTV Movie Awards….and (much to the chagrin of some naive Twitter followers who somehow didnt know that I am an extremely cynical person…hello?) spent most of it in the snark-zone. Maybe it was the pre-award f–kery (known as The Hills finale) that set me off. Or perhaps it was the fact that Tim Kash interviewed Megan Fox (see after the jump) on the red carpet and pretended that nothing was odd about her half-wet-look, half dry-look hairdo.
We can go on for days (ok, that’s an exaggeration….minutes) about how the Awards was like movie night at R.Kelly’s house. (He wants to see Sandra Bullock in The Proposal. She wants to see High School Musical 2. Who will compromise for the sake of the relationship?) But the bigger buzz was about the Eminem vs. Bruno teabag incident. (sorry kids)
I laughed at the stunt…but was more surprised that some people didn’t think it was a stunt. Even some really smart people.

UPDATE: Life and Style magazine says…
“an MTV insider has told Life & Style that producer Mark Burnett cleared the prank with the rapper beforehand. However, Eminem wasn’t aware of exactly how naked Sacha would be when he agreed to do it! A second insider also confirms that Eminem was actually Burnett’s second choice. The first? Heiress Paris Hilton, who… declined to participate…”

“Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged. That’s all anyone wants to talk about, so let’s get it out of the way. They rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then.“
so…Eminem knew that Bruno would be bare assed and in his face…..also, he had that bare ass in his face at least twice. Got it.

Em had to of known this was happenning or he is very unathletic to not be able to move. Regardless if this was fake Em played himself by acting the way he did. He looked like a bitch walking out. Em is funny how he can be the biggest jokster/douche in the industry, but he can’t take a joke to save his life alla the talking dog a few years ago. Megan Fox is a sexy broad MISSINFO, but she doesn’t have that body you got going on.

MTV bugs nowadays and I think Andy Samberg is a little overhyped but I liked the awards. Things that bugged:
1. All characters from Twilight- yall swear you are really vampires in real life. The girl star has the little anti-celeb act where she pretends to not like/understand all this fame, and that annoys me too.
2. Megan Fox. OK you’re hot, I guess. But she kinda tries too hard to look all stoned faced/wannabe Angelina so there’s at least 10 women last night I’d pick over her honestly.
3. Hannah Montana’s shoulders.

the fact that MTV zoomed in on em before the guy landed was a clear indication that they had planned it. I figured em probably agreed but didn’t realize dude was gonna come down nuts out and bare azz in face. I refuse to believe Em agreed to that. And his boys didn’t look too happy either. I think the fact that he agreed they just sat there but once they saw he was really pissed..they started pulling the guy off of em. [Pause] at Tyrese saying he kept a few feathers. (CTFU) This joke would have been more suitable for Paris. She’s used to nuts in her face ;-/

Uh, didn’t he see that nut sack heading toward his face and if he had an issue with it shouldn’t he have moved then? I’m still not buying Em’s fake outrage/walk out but I applaud Sasha for fooling the entire country into thinking it’s real. Andy Kaufman was much better at stunts like this because I don’t think he really gave a fuck if the audiance thought it was funny he was just trying to make himself laugh.

Yeah of course we all knew it was a stunt and it was obvious that Em was in on it, but his reaction to Brunos taint in his face is says it all. I knew then that Em was being “punk’d” and that he was truly pissed at the event.

Wow. I saw this clip today….wonder how this is going to affect Eminem, especially when and if he goes to battle with any rappers. I am already seeing Rick Ross making a video parody of this. This is not a good look for him, especially in the arena he is in.
If he were an actor and not a rapper than this would have been brushed off and funny. This is more suitable for the likes of Will Farrell.

Don’t get me wrong-I love your site, and frequent it daily via Mac and BlackBerry…however, I gotta say…I really think the twitter quote thing is lame. Not being a “hater” just saying. This comes from someone who completely despises the idea of twitter in the first place. Noone needs to know what you’re doing every 2 minutes. It’s lame…it’s like a popularity contest for kids who weren’t popular and didn’t have friends in high school. And for those “smart” people who “tweet” idiosyncrisies, “knowledge” and poetry. Give me a break. My 2 cents. Queue the hating and disrespectful posts to follow what was my well thought out, gramatically (as correct as I can be on an iPod touch) correct OPINION — keyword again, opinion.

no prob…everyone entitled to their opinion. And trust me, even though I’m addicted to twitter, I am fully irritated by stuff I read on there all day every day. I also hate all the sandbox snakery n popularity contest (thanks Diddy and Ashton, not). But I still enjoy being able to get mass consensus or opinion at times. And share my random thoughts throughout the day. Even if its presumptuous to think that anyone would want to hear them.
I try to add opinion/observation to the mass timeline instead of lame vague bullshit that I see….”Hey I had a great meeting. awesome. Go me!”….blah. Or conceited positivity….”Life is all about being awesome and loving everyone. Go U!”

Lucky D12 was there to help get that guy off. Sasha Cohen is 6′3, and Eminem is like 5′7. Eminem would have just been pinned there if his homies weren’t there to help him with the ass & nutsac in his face.(what makes me laugh the most is the look on Eminems face, and his nostrils flairing) And you know Sasha’s an ass(LOL)…you know dude would have just stayed right there pinning Eminem as long as he could..LOLOLOL Sasha is a clown yo….LOLOL. On eminems police report he was measured at 5′9 so i doubt hes 5′7, + eminem = athletic build, Sasha Cohen = skinny + no muscle, not that it makes much difference debating this stuff =/.

It was planned people. The camera’s zoomed in on Em way before the guy dropped down. Why is anyone shocked that Em would do this? The guy is always clowning around making fun of himself and others. Not anything that I would do, but come on yall, its Eminem. This is nothing different from all the others stunts the guy has pulled. His album sells will go up after this. Its what his fans expect!!

Favorite bit was Keev and Andy playing Doubt for SEGA Genesis. It was a clone of Streets of Rage.
I think The Hills season finale instead of a preshow made me hate life for the rest of the night. I couldn’t bear to watch those awful people. Even though I think the idea of the show is brilliant. A show that is based in our reality but is completely scripted.
