I’m not so sure either about getting into the technicality of discussing the difference between garage MC and rapper. He is rapping nonetheless.

Also everyone has to admit that most genres, hip hop especially, evolve over time. Today different genres are colliding and collaborating which I don’t necessarily see as a bad thing. Its a way for people from different backgrounds to experience something or someone they wouldn’t necessarily listen to.

I’m not sure why you would knock Kanye just because he chose to work with someone who isn’t hip hop. If Kanye as the head of the G.O.O.D. Music label only worked with Hip Hop arists, that would not only be incredibly simple minded but also a bad business decision.

If people are still wondering whether to get on the Hudson bandwagon or not check out some of his older stuff on Youtube. Dude undoubtedly makes Good Music (pun intended). I suggest his songs “Bread & Roses” and “There Will Be Tears”. He is an excellent musician as well. He’s got a video on his myspace of him chilling and playing an instrumental piano verson of “There Will Be Tears”. No question Supernova is a commercial song but it is good none the less.

Also for the record, to the beautiful Miss Info and Mikey Fresh, Mr. Hudson is not a group. Mr. Hudson is one man who has a band also known as the Library.

my thing with the whole thing is that you know there is only one coldplay. i mean they can be your influence or whatever, and i know people make money trying to be imitations, but there is always only one of something. you have to stay true to yaself and be an individual. i mean if mr.hudson is truly good and inspirational, he will make it either way. he don’t need this coldplay-hiphop moniker. he should do him. they don’t need to manufacture him. if he is good people will recognize. the dude has an interesting ear for music though,and a good voice.

i actually agree with everything you saying, and i think it’s real funny to observe this, and you dead on with dizee because anyone who was trying to find some international music and was tuning in to the garage seen uk style knew all about dizee. i think he’s changed, but he hasn’t changed that much, just now that he’s offish i guess over there and more people here know him…but he can spit, and i haven’t heard him shit on the game, but i do know he was concerned about where he would fall in, if people would think he was a hip hop artist or not, just cause he uses different beats, and his flows different. anyways lol, i am undecided about this whole mr.hud experiment. i mean i actually have no opinion. i understand people might like it but i just don’t know. i’m trying to give him a chance, since he’s supporting one of our local artists who’s getting some lime…but i don’t like “gimmicks” and i haven’t been able to peg him yet. it seemed to work for ye though. . we like some roots and twang here though. bootlegg their stuff like crazy, and i’m telling you not black people but 100% white people. it’s funny. i don’t know a lot of heads hear who actually listen to uk hip hop.
