More Kelis vs. Nas mudslinging: but wait…Nas co-owns Rock the Bells?!**

The homie JayRod at MTV News sent over the latest in the Kelis vs Nas divorce. As we discussed earlier, Kelis is accusing Nas of cutting her off from funds as she readies to give birth this month.
Reports MTV:
“Kelis… maintains that she is dependent on Nas’ financial will. The singer said she took a hiatus from her musical career in 2008 to attend culinary school….
The paperwork alleges Nas signed an $11 million recording contract with Def Jam and is co-owner of touring company, Gorilla Union [sic]. The documents state Nas also pays for five homes, three for the couple in Los Angeles, New York and Georgia, and one for his family in New York and her family in the Dominican Republic. In addition to business ventures and property, the filings suggest Nas owns a number of luxury items, including a Rolls Royce Phantom, a Maybach, a Ferrari and a full-time driver in New York.
A source who requested anonymity told MTV News that Kelis has attempted to reach Nas directly and via her attorney, but both routes have been unsuccessful.”
Note: Guerilla Union is a major blog advertising network* produces the Rock the Bells tour. Wow. Its well known that I’m a huge fan of Nas’ music, but, let’s be frank, he never seemed like much of a biz wiz (Willie Esco?). But co-owner of Guerilla Union seems like a great emerging-market asset, no?

Its to bad that this relationship didn’t workout. I am not sure how upset Nas is with Kelis but to cut off her off while she is preg isn’t cool I mean you ain’t got to give her the rich life but she has your kid(unless he thinks it might not be his) and that alone should be reason to just give her alittle something you know cab money for the doctor or money for pampers(they can get expensive). Kelis was doing her own thing, getting her own money touring overseas before she got with Nas. He’s a perfect example of a deadbeat, sad father. Whether Kelis has her own career, shes pregnant she can’t do anything so therefore he needs to support his ex-wife and his son. He didn’t even want to pay child support for his daughter Destiny back in 2004 so that goes to show he’s no good at all.

However, sometiing don’t smell right here?? I have a hard time believing that Kelis is totally broke like that. Nas in his career has always done what Nas has wanted to do, even if it didn’t seem like a good luck from the public’s standpoint (IE spazin on hot 97 back in the early 2000s). This def doesn’t seem to have a good look from the public standpoint esepcially since so many trials are tried in the public arena as well. With that said, I’m about done with accustomed living. I was accustomed to food miraculously being on the table when I got home from school as a kid, but now that I’m pushing 30, my momma doesn’t owe me that.
Now because he’s riding Phantoms and got homes, Nas is supposed to break lifetime bread with this chick because she got lazy? Nah. If he gets joint custody, the kid’ll ride in Phantoms and stay in exotic locations too. Keyword: the kid. If women are equal to men, they shouldn’t make the decision to have unprotected sex and expect some kind of extra reward when nature happens. A man would be laughed out of court talking about child support payments for knocking a chick up.
And wouldn’t it be murderous if the kid wasn’t his? I put money that Kelis wouldn’t be a step away from the gutter, which is how she’s trying to make this all sound. She’d be fine.
All of this begs a bigger question, though: If Nas was paying for everything, how is she living now? I’m pretty sure science class taught me the human body can only survive a little while without food or water, let alone a pregnant human female.
If you got enough to live, you’re good–and that’s how you can always spot the gold diggers: they think they need waaaay more than necessary.

Nas — I Don’t Make What Kelis Thinks

Nas has fired back in his bitter divorce case with Kelis claiming he’s paid her more than she says and he makes less than she thinks.
For starters, Kelis claims Nas raked in $11 million for his album deal. Nas fired back in legal papers, “I did not receive even half that amount”… claiming it’s more like $4 mil. Nas claims his income is declining, and he’s only pulling in $147,165 a month.
As for what he spends … $71,371.96 a month, which includes $10,000 a month in clothing/hair/toiletries/personal effects.
Kelis, who is about to give birth to their child, claims Nas hasn’t paid a penny for child or spousal support since he left her. Nas, who says he wants to be “fully involved” in the parenting of their child, claims he’s agreed to pay $350 for a stroller, $450 for a baby sling and $1,598 for two cribs.
Nas thinks $5,000 a month is reasonable for child support since the kid will just be a newborn.

You’re not making it clear on what you’re tryng to emply. If you’re emplying that $5,000 a month isn’t enough for a new born you’re dangerously ignorant when it comes to taking care of a child. I noticed you included the amount of money he spends a month for himself. I don’t know if u did that to attempt to compare what he’s offering to Kelis for the baby or not but Nas is a grown man that’s constantly in front of an audience and has to maintain his image. I’m so tired f females depending on guys. don’t get me wrong…I liked Kelis before this point because I thought she was a competely different individual. I thought she was way more independent than what she’s portraying herself to be.
