You know that guy is so right. that is exactly what is going on. Because of the “Hustlers” that are just really seeing Hip hop as another hustle the whole of Hip hop is going down financially and definantely creatively. When is gets to the point when someone can say in one of his rap songs verse “I can sell a mil/saying nothing on the track.”, and thats what exactly going on. You like when did this s**t happen. We go from Hip hop legends like Rakiem and Big daddy Kane to lyrical genius Biggie, Tupac, Common, Mos Def to now anything geos as long as it sells “Hey bay bay” or “Throw some D’s on it”. I just read an interview on 50 cent in the in the XXL mag (Sep ‘07) and he said something that was true (now) “Where in the music buisness, the buisness to sell money”, but. You stil have to produce good music and because of all the medicore going on (being on of the bigger facters) Hip Hop is suffering. Oh yeah THERE ARE TOO MANY LYRICALLY LACKING RAPPERS OUT THERE, ITS TIME TO CLEAN HOUSE. What happen to being lyrically creative.

I just checked J smooths site, http://www.illdoctrine.com and it made my weekend! Its about time someone publicly brought a little reality back into this pantomime that used be to called hiphop..

We arent all 12 years old (mentally) and we def don’t all enjoy the WWF style ‘Beefs’ that are being manufactured by a lot of labels, artists and magazine columns. I do understand that for the kids, hiphop needs to be exciting (good quality music doesnt seem to be enough to keep em interested these days) but come on people.. my intelligence is being insulted by all the fake ass drama.. leave that ish to hollywood.. what ever happened to keeping it real? haha!)

Don’t get me wrong.. I’m not hating- i enjoy a bit of musical bubble gum for my ears and eyes once in a while but not ALL the time!! I need a MEAL GOD DAMN IT – and make it GOURMET.. so good that me and my friends can all still be talking about it in 10 or 20 years!!! Too much ‘hiphop’ out now just gets made in a hurry and is then forgotten about a month after the overly hyped release date.. prob because there’s a new fake beef that the media jumps on… its a shame..

J smooth is the man tho – best line “hiphop IS dead and none of you are invited to the funeral!” respect to J and missinfo for posting this!
