Yeah I want to talk about this Nicki situation as well…Because Flex had a lot of questions and things to say but the reality is YOU DONT DIISRESPECT A FUCKING ARTIST YOU EXPECT TO HEADLINE YOUR EVENT!! EVERYONE KNOW INDUSTRY ETIQUETTE AND THAT WAS A VIOLATION OF EVERY RULE IIN THE BOOK!!! If fans start asking for their money back because they came to see her dude should be fired….Artist are sensitive and woman are worse, why would you even do some shit like that.. He’s a fucking clown!! And Flex is a clown for not getting on that stage as the general of hot 97 and saying we not gone have Nicki tonight as a station and a family we apoogize to her for what was said earier and we hope to have her next year… Instead he doubled down of the fag shit of attacking a woman.. Hot 97 is….
If these litte slip ups continue how much longer before someone bigger than all you hired slaves says hey iits time for a change? EVERY ONE IN RADIIO’S RUN HAS COME TO AN END AT SOME POINT OR ANOTHER!!! It seems like too many self-destructiive little things are taking place over there, dont destroy your rep just leave for tv…

KANYE WEST…
…GETS UP ON STAGE AND “TOTALLY” DISSES TAYLOR SWIFT TO HER FACE AND THE WORLD!! AND AFTER STANDING THERE LOOKING LIKE A BEFUDDLED LITTLE KITTEN, DOES NOT GET RUSHED OUT OF THE BUILDING FOR DAMAGE CONTROL, BUT GOES RIGHT INTO HER PERFORMANCE! THEN COMES BACK LATER IN THE SHOW AFTER BEYONCE GIVES HER THE FORUM TO COME BACK OUT AN PROPERLY ACCEPT HER AWARD AND THANK WHO SHE HAD TO THANK.
“WE ARE NOT HIP-HOP LYTE!!”
IS THE FLAG WE WAVIN’ RIGHT NOW.
As an Mcee Nicki knew exactly what Peter Rosenberg was saying and what he ment by it. An as an Mcee you know exactly how to deal with a challenge like that, You get up on that stage and you “SHINE”!!
You get out there and you SHUT IT DOWN!! You turn what was gonna be a 8 performance into a 100!! You exept that challenge and you execute to the fullest.
And i guarantee you if “STARSHIPS” was performed that night it would’ve been her best performance yet. An at the end of the day a man wouldnt anything to do but except it for what it is.
“YOU DONT GET PUSSY WHIPPED!!!
YOU WHIP THAT PUSSY!!!”
Right now they wavin that ‘we on some soft celebrity diva shit’
Listen COME UP OFF DAT SON!!!!
Aint this the era of the
“ANTI-BULLY CAMPAIGN”
“WE ARE NOT HIP-HOP LYTE!!”

What an interesting turn of events… Lil Wayne pulls the so called headliner. Shame on him for being hurt by one mans opinion or her if she was the real person upset by it. Factually Nicki is watered down and she knows it. But the show goes own when folks like Lauryn Hill, NAS and Slaughter House touch down and keep it moving. Her absence while noted wasnt felt…

Let just add one thing here… DaStreets said something on point and that is the fact that one mans opinion shouldn’t have stopped her.
But here’s a few thoughts to consider.
1. Where was Wayne when this all happened? Whats the real motive for pulling cause seriously this aint it?
2. What are the legal ramifications for her not performing at the last minute? I mean she wasn’t ill, no disasters happened etc…
3. She’s going on Flex tonight at 7pm. That should be interesting to say the least.

June 4th, 2012 at 1:18 pm
Ok lets state the obvious here..
1. Nicki knew that Rosenberg was not a fan from day 1
2. Nicki already sgreed to do the show and got paid
3. Nicki was already in the building
4. You are there for your fans not 1 man’s OPINION
5. The amount of people who they had perform shows she was not missed
6. Nas & Lauren Hill performing was a bigger deal than Nicki not being there
7. You are alreay loosing ur Hip Hop fans so lets see how long the pop audience holds on to u…
8. Why aliante the biggest radio station in NY hoping that the other guys will hold u down…question..do they even have a yearly concert yet? How big of a venue can the other guys pack out??
9. When trying to be a diva goes wrong – Wayne not Nicki

Finally!!!!!!!!! Thank you Peter for speaking the TRUTH! I hope Hot97 stands behind him and Flex. If Nas or Lauryn came out in ’95 or even ’00 and repped hip hop like Nicki is doing now-none of them would have made it. Nicki only has 10 year old white fans and knows the black community is tired of her phony and (literally) fake ass. At least through all Kim’s surgeries, she was still putting out hip hop. Nicki basically used the black community to get her rise then went and flipped the script and became commercial to accumulate a bigger fanbase in the white community. Look at these little girls on the Ellen Show all about Nicki, running around singing her songs and everyone loves it. Hello, did we all forget her name is Minaj for ménage like a threesome. We’re exploiting our kids and don’t even care. Nicki Stans sit down.

Str8 up, thank you PR and Flex for speaking the truth and defending whats real, Lauryn and Nas together is what the game has been missing, f..k YMCB with that emo rap shit, if anyone jerk the fans it was Wayne and YMCB, they should stayed and given the fans what they paid for and spoken there mind on stage,..

Fact of the matter is this: While Nicki does have her “fans,” odds were that she was gonna get booed regardless. Rosenberg speaking his mind a.k.a. “the truth” just added fuel to the fire and possibly made more concertgoers turn on Nicki anyway by the end of the night. If you don’t believe me, rewind back to 2008 SJ. Remember Rihanna? Remember that? Same shit here. Females with limited talent are afraid of getting booed in front of 50,000 plus New York HIP-HOP fans at a HIP-HOP concert. Oh, and please don’t say that Rihanna wanted to hang with Breezy instead that night. Let’s be honest, please.

Sexist comment there guy. At least, Nicki is a one girl army reviving interest in female hip-hop acts for this decade. Like it or not, she is reopening doors for female hip-hop acts – YMCB marketing strategy to have her crossover is needed. I applaud her for that much. Fuck we gonna do? Wait for Lauryn to swallow some birth control pills and get back into the studio? Wait for Remy Ma to be released?

It is a business. HIP HOP BUSINESS. And PR is a radio PERSONALITY. It’s his job to speak his mind on music, specifically HIP HOP MUSIC. Shake up things, GET HIGHER RATINGS(all business). He’s constantly talking about how he HATES Starships on his show, why woulnd’t he continue to express how he felt about a record that was inevitably going to be perform that night. If he didn’t say anything, it would seem as if he bitch up because YMCMB was there. Because I’m SURE he would have bashed the recored the next day after Nicki performance. He spoke his opinion it’s not that deep.
But I do agree with you on the whole “real hip hop” thing. But the underlining problem with Nicki Minaj as an artist is not if she’s real hip hop or not. It’s the fact that HIP HOP is nolonger her genre but she still insist that it is, so “hiphop backpackers” won’t label her as a “SELL OUT”(which she is, and PR has said this as well) No matter how you put it, chick is a FRAUD. Either she was a fronting in her mixtapes days, or she frontin now.
I know this a stretch, but to push my point. Imagine of Tupac randomly switched up and started making music like Flo Rida. He would have experienced the same resentment that Nicki Minaj recieves now..

Well put Mo’betta. I actually agree with your points, but Nicki should’ve committed to her performance – she should’ve told Wayne she’s not disappointing her fans and just wrote a freestyle for Rosenberg while the plane is landing… To open the show, she should’ve dropped a 32 bar freestyle over an ugly beat (produced in the basement of some cat’s home in Jamaica Queens) blacking out – dissing the shit out of Rosenberg….and then keep the show moving.
Rosenberg’s diss wasn’t that serious for cancellation. There might be legal consequences for this – SJ ticket holders might file a class action lawsuit and Emmis Communications might sue the shit out of YMCB.

PR was wack for that, just saw the vid, so the whole”had to get all the accurate info” is additionally wack. Funk Flex, Wack as well. Hip Hop has never stood still , never despite what you like. I said it before if you consider Pharrell, N.E.R.D. hip hop, whats the difference. Kanye can do a whole autotune album and its cool right?? PR has said his opinion on the Radio before, no doubt that’s cool. but you invited this artist here .. wtf?
Nicki is wack for not going on stage and just straight defending her shit but maybe peeps call that classy, Im not a classy dude. SummerJam screen would’ve been lit, and Hot 97 would’ve had to pull Mic cords.

“New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, what’s going on? So, today, New York City, I’m going to talk to Nicki Minaj. And I’m going to ask her everything we need to know. And we’re going to talk about this to the end,” Flex said. “I was tight, yesterday. New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, I was in a place. I was seeing a color, a shade of–it was like a combination of burgandy and orange, at the time, if you can visualize that. … I then calmed down a little bit. Put another plan in action. Which we’re going to get to today. So we’re going to speak to Nicki Minaj in a little while.”

man, I really don’t like Peter Rosenberg. I think he’s an asshole.
With that said, Wayne and Nicki f*cked up here.
Rosenberg wasn’t doing anything but playing to his crowd. Wasn’t there a completely separate stage for ‘festival’ artists?
Nicki knows she made a pop record with Starships. INTENTIONALLY. She made it, sent it to z-whatever radio, and was/is hoping it pops, pop-style.
she should’ve come out on the main stage, performed her pop songs and whatever else and handled her business. her fans were there to see her, not to hear some random comment from peter rosenberg, and she should’ve been there for them, point blank.
just think about it.. would anybody even know about the peter rosenberg comment if wayne hadn’t overreacted?
what’s going on with wayne anyway? he’s making some questionable decisions recently. both the pusha t record and the peter rosenberg comment would be forgotten by now if wayne hadn’t shined a light on them. Baby really needs to reel his son in.

Agreed. I think Weezy didn’t want to be around Pusha T and them honestly so he overreacted over a comment that PR has stood behind since the release of “Starships”. This was a good way for him to get out of being around some true G’s. Wayne ain’t fooling nobody. We know he ain’t about that life. LOL.
Summer Jam is the platform where you get to say F*ck off to the haters and Nicki should’ve done that. I don’t care what anyone says, PR’s comment was not that deep for YMCMB to go crying like some bitches. If your crew is on top, and you all claim to be #1, you should act like it. I wish people would quit defending YMCMB’s move. Dude did not call Nicki a bitch or anything. I’ve heard wayyy worse be said/done at Summer Jam. PR’s comment was ass and Nicki could’ve flipped that shit quick, but she did what the Chief commanded and they caused a big ass scene over nothing.
Oh and what about SB’s twitter rant threatening to f*ck PR up. Dude, really? You’re a gym bag carrier. For a POP star. Who makes the bread and probably has bigger balls than you do. The End.

Why am I starting to get the feeling as if we r being played here…follow me:
1. Nicki is billed as the headliner for summer jam (a show we know has not been the best in years)
2. some silly drama happens and Nicki pulls out of the show…which now has everyone tuned in to Hot 97 to see what happens next…hell even power 105 is talking about it
3. Nicki promises a free concert to make it up…we all know even free concerts have a radio station backing them
4. She jumps on Power 105 to talk about said concert and when Envy and Angela Yee try to piggy back saying they will support and promote this concert…Nicki never comes out and says yes u can..as if she already knows Hot 97 will be the sponsor..
5. Back at home on Hot 97 Ebro comes on the radio 2 days straight saying watch the movie that’s about to happen…
6. I guarantee when the conert details comes out..Nicki will agree to let Hot 97 host the event since she does owe them a make up event…
7. All in all…the fans get their concert and Hot 97 gets the biggest promo they got in years..
8. As an added bonus next years summerjam sells out in minutes anticpating what new drama might unfold cause now u have countless fans who dont wanna miss it

He don’t like starships…when was the last time he put out a hit? Nicki IS international, pete isn’t! I don’t knock her for not goin on stage and for making pop music that will increase her income to the max. If pop singers put some rap in their songs you don’t hear their fans all of a sudden say they’re less pop! So why all the hate when its the other way around? Did nicki say that she was only gonna do rap for ever? Do people down Queen Latifah for putting out a jazz album? Rosenberg better stay in Manhattan!!! If it was left to you boys in hip-hop, girls in hip-hop would be left behind stuck holding Ice-T’s sawed-off in a thong bikini or left squatting in the Lil Kim-fat pum-pum pose on album covers. Sometimes, women find ways to stand up for themselves – this is an ugly business. Nicki was the headliner and she proved in her mixtapes that she can spit bars – wish she had thicker skin though…

America fell in love with baseball well over a century ago. It was interrupted by the Civil War between the states. When people wanted things to get back to “normal” after the war, baseball games sprung up everywhere. Farmers, former slaves, and factory workers alike played the game. One of my grandfathers actually did sell sodas from the back of a wagon in a number two washtub. Unfortunately, the game was on a hot Sunday afternoon in Joaquin, Texas and the powers that be at his church were appalled at the very thought. He was given the left foot of fellowship out the door. So, included is a fictional story based on that event. Somewhere along the way, baseball music sprung up with the game. This book contains the complete sheet music to 47 of those early, fun songs – from polkas to two-steps to marches and others. The music is very much a real part of the history of American Baseball. Baseball was then interrupted again by another war, World War I.
