I dont agree with the “snitch” movement, but 50 cent is definately a snitch. He plasters Supreme’s name all over everything and in that horrible “Ghetto Quoran” song, he name drops every drug dealer in queens. im in the Uk and hip hop coverage is always like 2 months behind ova here, so you can imagine how much we appreciate blogs like this,
only sad thing is we dont get Hot97
, but the podcasts do help though they are not as regularly updated as we would want.(wats up with that?)
anyway, I get money is so heavy its also getting massive play here in the Uk, cant wait for the vid,
it always shocks me how some people especially in the US seem to hate 50, but outside US he’s practically the biggest star, the face of hip hop, only one who competes or is bigger is Eminem, but hes now laid back i guess,
cant wait for his album Curtis to drop, and if people cant keep him out of their mouths even if its months away, imagine what it will be like a week before the album drops,
deep down everyone loves a bit of 50 i guess, outside Us we certainly do, last album wasnt a classic but sold 10million outside Us, and to put that into proportion i think Jay hasnt even or is just above platinium outside U(somewhere there),

I bet if Get Rich sold 2 mill instead of 13 mill and TM sold 2 mill instead of 10, people wouldnt be hating. He could drop GRODT right now and people would say its wack. The fact is, the song is crazy hot, like Flex said, he thought that Fab and Neyo joint was the summer anthem, but things have changed. This is the summer track right here. And lets be serious, I dont think 50 is doing this album for the money man, he just made 100 mill or whatever, how much can he realy make off this album, he dont care, and he wont sell no 10 mill or nothing, if TI did 460k off an awful album, 50 will do in the 700k range, and top out around 2 to 3 mill US, and maybe 5 mill worldwide, thats it. @TBZ – Get outta here with that ish. 50 never said that. As I recall he may have called them out as being Preme’s fronts but who didn’t know that? That was their own damn fault. They were the ones who got so cocky that they thought it would be cool to let Preme – a known drug dealer who the feds were already watching – dance through Murder Inc videos pretending to be Puffy. They clearly had Preme in the video trying to show off their street cred and it backfired on them and those tapes probably became exhibits A & B during their trial. I can’t believe we are talking about 4 year old ish like this. All ya’ll still on Irv’s jock need to let it go. It’s 2007 people. Damn.

There’s alot of hate going on and it’s understandable, it’s our nature to hate on people that steal the top spot, 50 did that to blow up and it worked, it’s a chain reation, all great rappers did.
With that said, how come Hot 97 ratings double when 50’s on the air? it’s because the dude’s ambition and attitude is fire, and the world listen’s just to hear what he has to say.
You can cram all the haters you want, but the haters themselves will tune in to listen and then… problably bump “I Get Money” on the low…
