Miss Info Exclusive….Iron Solomon beats Yung ZM at Fight Klub

the battle was judged by Ralph McDaniels, Saigon, Cassidy and Hurricane Chris (hmm), and Clark Kent deejayed. But by all accounts, the battle was mismatched, Yung didnt stand a chance.
The real attention turned towards Murda Mook, who Iron Solomon called out for allegedly pulling out of the battle the day before. I’m sure the match will happen soon (right, Nick? lol) and I will keep you updated. Much love to the Fight Klub fam….

im not big on battle rapping, except that one clip i watched of dude getting punched in the fast at the end…that was awesome. but question to those that are, does these people ever get signed, or is this how they make their living?

I not surprised Mook backed out. Thanx to the power of YouTube it’s been proven that Mook uses a lot of written rhymes to pass off as freestyles and Iron Solomon is just bananas. It’s obvious that a Solomon vs Mook battle should prosper and it will be a bad look for Mook if he doesn’t accept the challenge.

Basically, everything Iron has spit for fight club up untill now has been subpar compared to what he’s capable of.

If ur into lyricism then you should embrace battle rapping as a platform where skills prevail. Today selling records is more to do with marketing budgets and strategies than it has to do with skill.
And dont be surprised if in the next 2 yrs the worlds top 10 battle rappers make more money than rappers who can only sell 50K units or less, not to mention the 500,000 other rappers who are still trying to get noticed.

Bro, could u possibly fit anymore stipulations in that statement? I am glad “battle rappers” are starting to have more platforms to make a living and keep ppl inspired tho. But lets not get it confused….them down south boys spend like $300 to press up 1000 CD’s and sell them at $10 a pop (1000 x 10) – (300) = 9700 profit and they do that EVERY MONTH. and those are just the UNSIGNED ARTIST selling music out of the trunks of their candy painted old skools. The South is on top right now because they have a better work ethic, they collaborate more, and put out waaaaaay more music on a consistent basis (regardless of the quality). There’s virtually no good NY mixtape DJ’s anymore. They all either have solo artist that they’re pushing or they feel like mixtapes are beneath them. I’m from BKLYN but I’d never knock the South’s hustle.

To circus – Idk what South you’re talkin about but here in Miami that “make 9700 a month off mixtapes” dont apply. First, be real it cost more than $300 to press 1000 CDs, unless they are black on silver in sleeves, and for that sort of presentation ppls would be dumb 2 buy em for $10 cause they are worth like $2. Second, the scene is so saturated that mixtapes are flying left and right, and cats pass em out more than anything. Trust, I know plenty of cats grnding out here, and only a few -the real hard workers-push 1000 if that, and takes em atleast a few months. Don’t get me wrong, I feel what your saying, but it ain’t as simplistic as you put it.

Ok prizzle I see ur point. Maybe I was simplifying it too much. I didn’t wanna get too wordy so I cut my thoughts in half to save space. But u do see my point about the work ethic right? How can up top cats complain (im from Bklyn) when they barely putting out any new music? U can’t take over a scene (like the south did) until u have plenty of ammunition (music). The crazy thing is u got all these ppl that be on FIGHT KLUB and other battle circuits…..where are the mixtapes show casing all this talent that everybody on this blog knows about?…..It’s not brain surgery one of these NY DJ’s should start putting out monthly mixtapes feauting like 3 or 4 of these dudes a month. But thats the problem no1 wants to put that work in. A lot of yall don’t like 50 but I remember back around 2000, 2001 when he was building his buzz…that dude was putting outmixtapes every month with like 17+ songs that were better than ppl albums. Thats work ethic and look where he’s at now.

There are very VERY few cats who can go toe-to-toe with Solomon, and even less that can do it and still have their friends respect by the end. Obviously, ZM wasn’t one of them, not that that’s a surprise, ZM is trash anyway.

2. Most battle rappers love to battle, its a hiphop artform that brings a unique rush. It has and never will have anything to do with “making music”. Doesn’t confuse or compare the two.
Thats like getting beat in a rap battle, throwing a fit and yelling out “but can he pop lock like me?!!” and busting out with a windmil and poplock routine you memorized from electric boogaloo on the pool table

-I know people who play ball every single weekend and they still suck, but they continue just because they enjoy it.
-I know people who spend 500 a week on their car to never enter it in any event, simple because they enjoy it.
Most people battle because they enjoy it. PERIOD
4. You don’t make it into the finals of scribble jam without having the ability to “freestyle”.
Solomon has the gift of interchanging the two and delivering clean as fuck, which not many people can do.
5. Him being white means nothing other then the fact he will get sun burn quicker then most of the people who are on this blog…
His delivery, wordplay, and punchlines are by far better then 95% of the fight klub artists

ZM likely won’t get another day. In a battle there’s not a cat at fight klub that can take solomon. You’re talking about a man who effortlessly took down GS and Madness in the same night. He took down the saurus without even having to stop and think, and the saurus is one of the 2006 world rap champions! He absolutely murdered shirt-and-tie as well.
A lot of you guys still have a lot to learn about I.S. This guy is a straight up battle veteran, and is known on the battle scene as the king of new york for good reason. This man isn’t just a battler, he’s a career ender, and after that serving ZM’s is pretty much over.

If Murda Mook can serve Solomon, then why has he not responded to Solomon calling him out?
I wouldn’t doubt Iron Solomon in a battle. I have only seen him lose once, and that was in the finals at Scribble Jam. Even if an MC doesn’t win the Scribble Jam MC battle, just getting to the finals is an accomplishment in and of itself.
If all of Iron Solomon’s material is written, then how does one explain how he made it so deep into the Scribble Jam battle? If an MC can’t freestyle, then he will eventually be exposed because of his lack of personalized rebuttals.

If Iron Solomon “ain’t all that,” then tell that to the MC’s he defeated.
Here are my questions: if Iron Solomon brings pre-rehearsed rhymes to a battle, and wins, then what is stopping his opponents from doing the same? Do you think whining to the judges is suddenly going to make them disqualify Solomon?
Unless an MC has full confidence in his freestlying abilities to counter pre-rehearsed rhymes, then maybe he should bring pre-rehearsed rhymes as well, and maybe he will win.

Solomon is good. But can he write music is the question? Is he marketable, is he unique other than him preparing his rhymes to destroy his opponents? When he battled Jin, there was this kid and I WISH I knew his name, he battled in the rookie spot b/c FK always has a rookie round and would have destroyed Iron! DESTROYED HIM! I see everybody is mentioning a few other battle rappers but you are forgetting probably the electrifying and most animated 1 of them ALL! O-SOLO. Solomon came up after the FK paid his homage to O and then asked if he could battle him…lololol Let me tell you one thing, thats not what you do if you want to battle somebody..lolol O-Solo will destroy him just based on that 1 question. But I do give Iron his just do, the kid is nice but I need to hear a record from homeboy. I’ll put it like this, once again, Iron destroyed someone. This time it seemed like he freestyled compared to his other battles (probably because Yung ZM wasn’t much competition to him. I’ll give props to Solomon for this battle, but I really wish he didn’t come straight-up pre-written in other battles. I think if he battled NoCanDo in a rematch he would meet his match for sure. NoCan really improved.

LOL, iron is nice, but it’s a lot of proof that he writes his rhymes….everybody that is down with battle rap knows this. If mook writes some new stuff and solomon writes some new stuff, it might be a nice battle.

Watch youtube, and you’ll see that iron will recycle and flip some lines to make it seem like its different. When he battled math, he was saying things that had NOTHING to do with the battle or math, but also, some of those lines iron had were hot tho…

I don’t know man, Iron Solomon vs Murda Mook would be a nice battle to see, Mook has harder punches, But Iron embarasses his opponents with funny punchlines, their both really good and i’m not going to pick either of them yet, cause i seen Iron destroy Math and Thesaurus, But I also seen Mook destroy Young Hot and alot of other katz, I think they should set that up!

Your wrong watch more of iron solomons rap battles he just writes his own punchlines like any other emcee out there, but i would say 3/4’s of all his battles is off the dome
